After previously being your Chief Logistics Officer and taking a long (needed) break from active involvement In USI, I have come back to a full time position within the Trade Department. I have taken command of The Highlander effective immediately and will be resuming duties.
As my previous stint with USI was very productive and, very profitable, I will be investing some of my own personal wealth back into the company. I will be speaking with the current board to discuss this and will invest an undisclosed amount.
I look forward to working with you all and hope we can push forward with our goals. Please feel free to contact me on private channels for anything work/non work related. I hope to be alongside you in the dangerous space that we try to fill very soon.
A shipment of Optronic Arrays was delivered from Planet Honshu to Houston International as requested by Supervisor John Kerr.
The journey was rather uneventful other than a couple of trade lane disruptions. The pirates were most likely rookies as they were quickly dispersed by the ship's defenses.
Personal note: Kusari was beautiful as ever, but it's good to be back home.
Please excuse me for the lack of reports, a lot of us had a real busy week. My crew and I - among others - were doing our best to help fulfilling Houston International's way overdue needs.
During this period the Seattle has delivered the following:
64,130 Industrial Hardware
39,680 Robotic Hardware
24,800 Hull Segments
19,840 Plasfoam Conduits
10,120 Reinforced Alloys
Surprisingly there was only a couple of notable events during this period.
Let me start with our run in with the Liberty Rogue called "Damaged Goods". We were on our way back from Planet Los Angeles with a hold full of Robotic Hardware. When we arrived to Norfolk Shipyard our "friend" was lingering around the Tradelane to the Texas Jumpgate. In retrospective it was a risky decision to enter the lane anyway, but it did turn out well in the end. As we passed the pirate ship, they also entered the lane and started pursuing. The nature of their movement was not obvious at the time as there were no communication attempts whatsoever. In any case we wasted no time jumping to Texas and then entering the lane there. We were just about to enter the Tradelane when their ship also arrived and launched a cruise disruptor at us. By the time the missile have reached us, we have already entered the lane and got away.
As a honorable mention I'd like to commend Patrick Müller, Admiral of the Rheinland Military who we first met on our way to Omega-3 at Planet Hamburg. With the [*USI*]Hershey on our side, we were stopped for a routine scan and soon let on our way as everything was in order. The Admiral was respectful throughout the procedure and wished us good fortune on our journey. We met for a second time on our way back loaded with Plasfoam Conduits at the Hamburg Jumpgate in New Berlin. He informed us about Federalist forces in Hamburg and advised to take the jumphole instead. We also took the jumphole to Hudson for a good measure which meant quite a detour, but ultimately kept us away from harm.
Resources crucial to base maintenance have been replenished, base population restored and repairs already begun.
The routes from planet Houston and planet Los Angeles were both calm, nothing to report.
I was flying my transport vessel through Liberty at first for some Industrial Hardware. I done saw a LPI copper named Jimbo Morris. He reminded me of my buddy back on Planet Houston, his name was Jimmy. We used to pour whiskey into a tube, put a small ball down the tube and then light the vodka on fire to launch the ball. Thems was some fun times! But anyway, Jimbo Morris was a real quiet feller. Didn't talk much. I did like 4 runs by him. He must'a thought I was lost. But he just stayed there at Fort Bush, real quiet. Not like my buddy Jimmy. He and I in the same room is like carrots and peas in a soup!
Anyway, then I done did a trade of Plasfoam Conduits from Omega 3. Whooooweee, that is a looooong flight. I did run into this federalist guy. He was at the jump gate going into Omega 3. Nice feller, asked where I was going and said I was free to go. That whole thing in Rheinland is such a mess. Who's who? Imperials and Federalists. Just like blondes and brunettes, they both alright! Diergy Diergy Diergy!
I saw that the last thing we done need for that there docking module is a load of High Performance Alloys. I traveled my way into Bretonia space for that. I din't travel far enough into Bretonia to see the wrecks from the wars, but golly Gallia done did to Bretonia what my grammas chili does to my stomach! She makes this chilly that will make the taste buds on your tongue do the jiggy dance all the way to Kusari. Whooooowee thems taste gooooood! But a day later I have to sit on a toilet...
