Applicant Description Biography: I was born as the only child of Louis and Julie Clèment, so I spent the early years of my life in peace and harmony on Planet Orleans. When I was younger, I used to love listening to my father's adventures in Picardy and Champagne, where he fought in the Second Gallic War. The way he described the situation it really sounded like he was doing the right thing. Now I have realised it was nothing more than a meaningless slaughter of our people. But I suppose that always was his destiny... After I finished my school education with perfect grades, I planned to go to military academy, and later sign up for the Marine Royale. All of that changed however, when a friend invited me to a rally of the Council. While I didn't like the Council at all, it still seemed interesting enough for me to hear what kind of lies they wanted to spread in my hometown. Surprisingly, I found out that quite a lot of my friends and old classmates were attending the rally. Which is why I went to the next one aswell. Over time, the Council's ideas made more and more sense to me. While the Sirian campaign was costing us more and more ressources, the citizens of less developed worlds like Amiens and Marseille had to suffer from raising taxes and bad working conditions to make up for the King's lust for revenge. Knowing of all those problems outside of my homeworld, I lost all believe in the monarchy. I was confused. I still wanted to join the Marine Royale, especially since my father wanted me to follow his way and not waste my talents in any "meaningless" civilian occupation. But who would I be fighting? The Council, who fought for freedom and a better future for the less entitled people of Gallia, or the Sirians, which fought for nothing but their survival? In the end, it probably was nothing but the promise of a high rank and a decent life that motivated me to join the navy. In my confusion, I made a momentous mistake: I asked my father for advice. Looks pretty stupid now that I'm looking back at it, I know, but he was my most trusted family member at the time. He remained very quiet during our talk, and only said he understood my concerns. I was very surprised he would not even try to argue with me. He just sat there, staring at me like I was nothing. When I was done talking, he stood up and said the words I will never forget: "We will figure this out together, don't worry." I never would've anticipated what came next. Only a few hours later, someone knocked on the door of my room. It was the Royal Intelligence service of Orleans. I didn't ask any questions. I didn't have to. Their presence told me everything I needed to know. I was taken away in handcuffs. When walking through the house, I saw my mother crying, right next to her the great capitaine, my father, who looked at me without showing any emotion at all. Without a trial, I was sent to Fleury-Merogis Prison Station, where I was supposed to spend the rest of my life, without any chance of rehabilitation. It was only because of my old contacts within the Council why I was able to be released from prison after the Royalists surrendered in the orbit of New Paris. As I heard, my father remains in the Sirian "Tau" systems. Suits him well. With the recent seperation of the Marine Royale Gauloise from the suicidal "Enclave" forces, I hope this step will help me to get some sort of normality in my life. Motivations: I'm not entirely sure. Partially, I want to join because that was my only perspective before my time in prison. I also wish to support my home in a reasonable way, without throwing my life away in a meaningless war. There are great dangers to our nation and the newly formed government, and I hope I can help to avoid returning Gallia to the dark ages under the rule of the deFrance family. One more thing I'd like to accomplish: I want to bring back the honor of the Clèment family. My father has made a name for himself, and I wish my name to be remembered for something better than his warcrimes. Skills: While I have never flown a spaceship myself yet, I learned much about combat strategies and battle coordination from my father. He also taught me how to gain psychological superiority over my enemies. Things like espionage, manipulation and so on. Of course it is up to you how to use my skills. I am comfortable being a humble frontline soldier. Highly agressive Sirians, who spread a deadly, highly addictive drug into the houses. Their close proximity to our nation's borders will cause us a lot of trouble in the future. Gallic Brigands: Not only simple pirates, they also are involved into the innder-Gallic durg trade. Their "Nox" is becoming a big problem in the cities of Marseille, Amiens and Metz. The Maquis: While those originally were involved in the Council's revolution, they have decided to go the way of endless violence. Their ideals are very differently and the only thing they have in common is their hate for government officials and their supporters. Gallic Royal Enclave: Probably the biggest threat to our house. A highly organized military junta which is aiming to return the monarchy in Gallia. Some of Gallia's best Marine officers have pledged their loyality to the Enclave, making them extremely dangerous. While on patrol, you encounter a small wing of Council Maquis fighters. They spot you, and begin threatening your life unless you disable your craft and surrender to their cause. You are outgunned and the nearest friendly patrol that would bring the tide to your favour is ten minutes away from you. What will you do?: I would try to trick them to spare me or at least offer me a "fair and honorable duel". Of course I would call the reinforcements in, and then eradicate them without mercy. During one of your flights, you encounter an escape pod or a malfunctioning ship. The person inside is speaking in Sirian tongue and is asking for immediate help. If you wait any longer, the pilot will perish horribly. What will you do?: I would of course help the poor guy as good as I can, without risking my own survival. If I retrieve him successfully, I'd give him to the Police,. Dealing with Sirians is none of my business. She then was enlisted into an ordinary public school, where she mostly had mediocre results. Julie had a fairly normal amount of friends with whom she had generic friendly relationships. As many naive girls of her age, she decided that enlisting into a Navy will give her prestige, fame and good salary. As expected, she did not have any extraordinary results at Il-DeFrance Naval Academy. Her characteristics from training personnel were also nothing special. There really was not a lot to mention. Interested by my father's job, since I am a child, I studied mechanics and obtained my diploma in 729 A.G.S, when I was 21. After that, I joined the EFL as a technician and worked on different projects. My tasks were many : Conveying technologies and tools, reparing ships, and participating on construction sites. Through all of this, I learned many engineering tips, learned how to fly medium and heavy cargo ships, and with all my success, i've worked my way up to the post of Project leader in charge of a Lucullus EFL Liner, after a training period, in 735 A.G.S. I held this position until my 32, in 740 A.G.S. After 11 years spent in EFL projects, I decided to change my way. I wanted to perform my duties in a different company, and doing something else for my country. Regarding the progress of the war against Bretonia, I chose to offer my services to the Royal Navy and joined the army in the engineering and logistic branch. When the truth about the former King Charles IX has been enlightened, when the Council forces entered in New Paris, I was confused about the future of our nation, and angry about all the lies this man told to us. But I remained quiet. Through the time, all my doubts were cleared by the new organization within Gallia. I am now part of the Confederation Defense Forces, but somehow, I am more attached to the Duchy of Burgundy than the other members of the Confederation. And since we have new threats to our country and new goals, I want to go further. Motivations: In the past, I had respect and admiration for the members of la Marine Royale. Several injuries occured during wartime. Applicant Description Biography: I am going to start with a most 'interesting' detail in my biography, up and front. I am a former Commodore des Corps Logistiques Du Conseil and was a part of Conseil Primary Fleet till the end of a civil war. I participated in many different military operations against Royal Navy and Marine Royale including Battleship Montomorency sabotage, Cortez operations, Tau operations, occupation of Picardy, hundreds of logistical operations and finally - Battle of New Paris. I was born in a family of Anne-Louise de Gobineau and Modest Cachin, on Orleans. Family of de Gobineau, as far as I know, once were a proud noble family but became poorer over time and lost all it's influence and power, maybe hundred years ago. It is still kind of 'noble', but only in title. My mother and father were, to put it simply, hardcore communists and gave me some strange and non-Gallic name maybe to honour some communist activist from pre-Gallic times, I am not sure. As I grew up, other family members were, well, not very happy about my parent activity and my grandparents took me away. After that, I never saw my parents but can't say, that I am very sorrowful because of that. Last I heard about my father - he was with Maquis and mother was on her divorce-marriage streak and was stripped of her noble title. What a shame. So, I grew up with grandparents. My grandfather, Jean-Anatole de Gobineau, was a retired officer in Gallic Navy and had quite militaristic views and he tried to pass these views on me. Me? I was kind of 'ringard' kid, I was more interested in mathematics and architecture than fighting. So, as soon as I finished middle school, in 725 AGS, I went to Nouveau-École Polytechnique in Orleanais to study interstellar logistics. In the end of 728 AGS I moved to Quillan as I got job from GMS there by the time I finished my bachelor grade. Next month, Conseil fleet arrived. I am going to drop a lot of details here. In 732 AGS, Quillan was occupied and I got pretty symphatetic to Conseil ideas. But I refused to be evacuated to Sirius and stayed on Quillan. For next five and a half year I was supporting Conseil and their cause while working as GMS official. But somewhere around 738 AGS, I was told that GRI had a lead on me so I decided to finally flee from Quillan and join Conseil. From there, starts my new life. For five years, I was on the front against Royal forces and Maltese menace as a supplier and logistical officer, starting as a humble caporal and getting my final promotion to a rank of commodore from Pierre LaFlamme hands in the final day of Battle Of New Paris. After that, I found myself in ranks of Republican Police forces but this is not the place I want to be in. I had a lot of contacts amongst police force higher-ups and convinced them to let me go to MNG and to bring my vessels with me. Motivations: I hold great respect for Marine Gaulois and most of you know that. I was one of the first Conseil officers to actually try to help Marine and other Gallic forces as London operation failed. After end of Civil War, I found myself and my skills totally useless in Republic and, well, their views are also kind of alien to me. Turned out I was never really into democracy after all. I want to be near frontline, where I can do everything I can to keep the momentum of assault going. I want to help out the best warriors, not catch some petty criminals. Skills: I may lack in theoretical knowledge of direct warfare because I never studied in Ecole Navale (but if I have a chance - I actually should do that) but I have huge experience and practical knowledge. I am not trying to overpraise myself but I have a lot of knowledge in low-supply logistics, blockade-running techniques and overall - how to efficiently supply the war. One day I might even write dissertations about that. I am also trained to fly smaller capital class ships and I am experienced in a bomber warfare. If I remember right I have once disabled RNS Chanzy. Besides, you already should be familiar with me regarding that - I was participating in Berne skirmishes recently. Their existence is corruption and they should be eradicated for the greater good. "People" who are so entwined with drug and criminal activity that they cant live without that. When I was with Conseil, they were our second priority and I remember when Conseil personel worked together with Royal forces against that menace. Burn their planets to cleanse them, destroy their stations as these have drugs dispensed straight into the oxygen systems. L'Enclave - terrorists and genocidal murderers. Same as Maquis but on the other side of political compass. They are focused on destruction and chaos and can't be reasoned with. Bullet to the head if they refuse to comply and if they understand what they have done - prison. Exploitative sirians - during my service with Conseil, I learned that Sirians can't live without conspiracies, back-stabbing each other and exploiting each other for political agenda. Allies turn on each other, different parties participate in terrorist activity, businessmen exploit poor and poor exploit each other. If some nation of theirs starts to think that they can take a piece of Gallia - they will do it. And that's why I consider them as enemy. We should stay united and not let other parties to dictate us what to do and we must continue to stay united despite our views and differences. These people only seek profit. While on patrol, you encounter a small wing of (Council) Maquis fighters. They spot you, and begin threatening your life unless you disable your craft and surrender to their cause. You are outgunned and the nearest friendly patrol that would bring the tide to your favour is ten minutes away from you. What will you do?: Ten minutes is more than enough for a ensured survival. Change your course in a direction of a friendly patrol or close to a patrol route and evade enemy fire as best as you can. There is no cause to die meaninglessly and craft is expendable.
