One would have thought, given the huge frustration and negative reaction to the destruction of long established bases, we might have heard a lot more from the GM's.

At the very least, until the issues around the harm being done to the community that they would have spoken up. Perhaps even whispered in the ears of the destroyers of the PoB's to hold fire for a short time until we get this sorted... nothing on radar.

Who are they?

Where are they?

What are they doing?

Why do we not see them taking action?

I realise there is a great need, for objectiveness sake, to distance themselves from ingame RP and rightly so. Never-the-less they are expected to step in when serious needs arise. Such is the case with the sieges in Dublin. There is nothing wrong with asking for a pause in proceedings to sort out the "dumb stuff" going on.

Whilst they fiddle, Dublin burns.

Like a boxing match, the audience want a fair fight. GM's are as boxing referees who need to govern effectively the bout. It's not happening.

In a game of soccer/rugby, the majority of the players and spectators can see cynical fouls taking place... no red card, no yellow card, no penalties given, not even a warning.

And so, we see in Dublin another well established base being destroyed. Eldorado has been there for three+ years. Always well maintained. The pride and joy of at least one persons heavy investment of time and credits.

Zero RP. Negative benefit for the community. Dumb stuff.

Look, I'm sorry, I know you're upset about your bases being attacked, but this is game functionality working as intended. There won't be rule amendments to protect particular bases that you feel are of "community benefit", or GM interventions unless rules are broken.

POBs do need a balance pass to review their health/regen/decay rates. Similarly, the current investment disparity between attackers and defenders does need to be considered. As pointed out previously by both myself and @Kazinsal, this is currently being looked at.

In the interim, I suggest you engage with the game mechanic in the intended fashion and round up some friends to help fend off siege attempts.

There is no action for them to take. I know it's not pleasant having your base/s attacked, but you need to look past the fact that this is (understandably) inconvenient for you and accept the fact that what is happening is entirely legitimate and requires no intervention.

I usually avoid walls of text but you deserve this.

First of all - about the Game Masters. They are already doing titanic work by reading dumb stuff, dealing with people, doing things for community and server itself. This work is voluntary, get it? They are not getting paid for reading snowflake stuff but still, they do it. I actually feel sorry for them, when they need to read another RP story for another scidata gun or 1-post-SRP. Let me be honest - your threads are part of these dumb things they will need to read and I feel sorry for them for this.

Secondly, let's cut to the chase - sieged bases. Destroyed toys, existent for N time and was eating N of your time until they were destroyed or just disappeared during "Ion storms". You're not the first and not the last who shall whine when their toys are about to be broken. However, I wonder where you were when Siloso was under siege. Why did you not make 100500 threads with complying about zero RP, dumb stuff and other things, when one of the old bases was sieged by Outcasts? Now you come with all the stuff only because guys are doing what their backgrounds allowed them to do. Listen, do you really think that people, destroyed 5 billion Leeds' population in one moment will stop and listen for your pitiful lines when you're part of the hostile house economy, agree you with it or not?

It's your own fault that your PoB is dying. Not ours, not community's, not Enclave's. You knew that Enclave have huge presence in neighboring system, you knew that they had ZoI in Dublin - and you took no action to safeguard your positions.

@jammi has done you the decency of a reply, and rightly so.

Staff have lives. This is an online video game, and anything that was done can be re-done and undone and all sorts, not to even begin to imply that will happen. This is not a live football game. This is not the International Committee of the Red Cross / Crescent.

Be patient. Be less entitled.

If your original post was less inflammatory and more genuine, i.e. "I have some concerns about the responsiveness of the staff", I might let this thread stay open and fill up with "it has been less than a week", and, "you're asking for huge balance changes to change something of which you were aware beforehand"

Alas, it was not so, and so we're done here.
