Sorry for breaking into a POB discussion. Considering i dont care about pobs
Over forum RP you dont know with who you are going to RP. What surprised might happen or anything. What if people want to just do ingame RP? You can tell EVERY hardcore RPer to stay on forums. A lot of people stay on forums, but dont even play the game. We need players to PLAY the game not stay over its forums and talk.
Yes I cant log because surprised im temp banned til friday.
My point is that "hardcore RP" is a nonsense phrase. You are either playing the game, or you are not. People asking for special protection of their assets want singleplayer game freedom in a multiplayer game environment.
A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.
I like how hypocritic the whole "BUT I WORKED ON THIS POB THE THOUSANDS OF YEARS" argument is. Considering some people make tens of billions of credits with their bases. No, other people don't have to spend the same THOUSANDS OF YEARS to destroy one. Nor they should buy some expectedly expensive ammo to siege some Core 1 that is dirt cheap and usually worths minimal effort.
1 million of POB HP equals to 1k of POB commodity delivered to it. The amount of damage you need to make to blow up the thing is proportional to the time spent for setting it from scratch.
Your post looks like baseless whining. Freshly spawned POB can be killed within minutes. Imagine that now you need some kind of ammo - you wouldn't need much of it to put down a weak target either.

Indeed why i propose POB economy rework along or even before siege mechanic rework.
POB should cost money, siege should cost money. Implementation should be complex, not one without another.
Currently POBs doesnt cost money for real, they waste time instead. As well as their sieging require only time wasting. Totally wrong gameplay.
P.S. Also, if make designated ammo-based weapon, obviously it should be on same level as siege turrets, or even better. And be for cruisers, battlecruisers, battleships.
More money waste, less time waste. This is why ammo shouldnt be produced on POBs, should just cost much.

90 percent of ore pobs are useless anyway.
EDIT: Ore on certain bases at a fixed price as well, about 2.5K to 3.5K or 4K depending on ore
That's not going to happen because people have invested into them. Some people play this game for POBs. And while I agree on with you that they need to be deleted, it's sadly not going to happen. Yes, it's not going to happen. This curse is with us forever.

So basically just like 90% of your total posts ever.
That's not going to happen because people have invested in it. Some people play this game for Gallia. And while I agree on with you Gallia needs to be deleted, it's sadly not going to happen. Yes, it's not going to happen. This curse is without forever.
I don't like this idea but all the people saying " just log and defend lol" are failing to take into consideration that most sieges are people going afk for 7 hours, and no matter how many times you kill them they will always come back to afk again. Shooting them is not a solution
Last words are for fools who have not yet said enough.
Just make an estimated worth of stuff thats on POB and ask for a refund?
I know time was invested, but, is it really the 'invested time' that keeps us from deleting pobs in entirety? looks like it to me
Just how much free time should you have exactly to have such a thread alive for so long?
Quite a lot from what it seems. Invest into calling out to potential defenders instead of going to forums and whining after your base dies just because people are paying attention to your weapon platforms shenanigans and you expect these defenses to be self-sufficient without allied fleet actually supporting them.
The only balance issue with Eldorado siege was unwillingness of BAF| to log in more than a couple of times and their inability to muster adequate numbers during peak siege hours. I logged for both sides and can compare the amount of motivation on either side.
Just get over it.
Peace, being the distant dream it is, comes inevitably, and goes hand in hand with justice.
