would like to see the old omicrons (Omicron Tau - Omicron-80, Omicron Phi - Omicron-85, Omicron Epsilon - Omicron-100, Omicron Chi - Omicron-92, Omicron Psi - Omicron 90/99, Omicron Xi - Omicron-94)

Agreed.

Also agreed.

Edit: It feels like people are taking the renames personally. I still call Aquitaine Edinburgh inrp and even sometimes oorp. And it makes sense a number system such as O-49 would be renamed upon proper colonisation and assimilation into Bretonia and that Edinburgh would be renamed to Aquitaine based on the current ruling power.

The new names have been something I've been trying to get used to, but I think for Nottingham and Anaheim in particular they should really just have different names than what they have now.

Nottingham is still an Omega in every way but name. This doesn't even factor in that the Bretonians have used 3 separate names for the system (Snowdown, Gibraltar, and now Nottingham), each change being something dev related.

California Minor was probably just iconic, really, though renaming made some sense. I just personally wish it didn't have to be Disneyland. Literally anywhere else in California would've been better than Anaheim.

I'm voting no, because the choices on offer are all-or-nothing, but honestly the new names arent all that bad.
Plus Bordeaux gives me something to piss off Gaian players with as an Enclave ship. :^)

I completely understand the overall reasoning behind the name changes, so my personal caustic hatred of some of them is not really relevant...what I think IS relevant, & why I voted to revert, is mostly because it smacks of shallow change & nothing more.

It should be mentioned that the fact the newly renamed systems seem to already be on the chopping block by the team, makes it appear (proves?) that the re-namings is a known mis-step that didn't have the desired effect in practice that was originally imagined in theory.

I came after the changes, and it would be very confusing if all changed back.
This shouldn't be just a mass revert
But using individual polls + working with factions on individual de re-names.

I vote "NO".

Talking really about myself here, but the new names for some of the systems and objects gives a sense of progression. That something is happening in the world of Sirius.

Agreed. Some of the renamings were completely uncalled for (Omega-3, Cali Minor) while the rest have added nice flavor to the power dynamics of Sirius - the one thing sorely lacking in Vanilla Freelancer.

Voted "No".

I would be very pleased. At least rename Omicron Tau, it's super confusing and just doesn't sound good.

Yes to some (O-3, 49), no to some (Enclave systems where the rename makes sense).
