I would like to tell, that all of you departed from the original topic somewhere else.
And made out of one topic some another topic.

Restricting caps zoi flight is not exit. As it's limiting people's freedom.
I would ask then to restrict people's ability to restrict snubs flight too, but do you get how absurd it would be?

Anyway. I ask only to close loophole allowing for all players having ZoI in microns through protecting anyone rights.
Restricting caps Zoi would not even fix the issue.

I tell again, nomads are not food and fix the rule I mentioned at start
to close this loophole without really changing people freedom

What is the RP reason behind people being neutral to aliens whose sole purpose 26 years ago was to enslave/destroy the humanity of Sirius? Except for obviously infected ones and cultists, I see no reason for anyone being even neutral to nomads and not being able to shoot them. This rule will undermine this RP. Just limit the ZOI and then attacking nomads will be both in line with the RP and against the ZOI rules.

This rule is abused allowing for all non omicron factions going freely to omicrons and doing whatever they wish there. Return of Liberty Archer is just example, fighting nomads together with Corsair and Zoner Dreadnoughts.

I suggest fixing it to

Quote:4.5 All IDs can attack Nomads and Wild within their own Zone of Influence.

If you hop on nomad or wild, you sign for being ganked by everything regardless. The last thing wild and nomad players need is any sort of pussy protection. As an alien player, I am in huge favor of this change.

If Liberty capital vessels leave their ZOI and ally with an unlawful (Corsairs) to fight nomads, that is sanction able as their ID doesn't allow them to ally with unlawfuls, unless it states can only ally with unlawfuls (faction against faction), which is not a thing on Liberty IDs

LSF can ally with unlawfuls I'm pretty sure, but the easy fix for that would be to restrict the indie ID's allowance on caps outside their ZOI.

People leaving their ZOI intentionally to hunt nomads with this new rule should be considered abuse of the rule, as it was intended to allow people to defend others and themselves based on organic roleplay, not to allow everyone to leave their native lands to hunt nomads.

Nothing needs to be changed, you just need to report ID breaking.

If this does need to be changed, only nomads should be able to vote on it, as it effects them directly. Not people that do questionable, scummy ass things in house space on the daily.

the less ganking, then better. it should be done by local factions instead of coming lolwuts from all Sirius.

the server should not be targeting lolwut PvP as main direction.

Nothing restricts lolwuts from turning their turtles into a bunch of Legates/Makos/Ozys and rolling around Omics and "red-is-dead"-ing everything.

This really moves us back to countless topics regarding numerous activity hubs distributed around whole Sirius, so RNC lolwuts new players falling in love with capital ships would be playing around in Rheinland "sandbox", LNS in Liberty "sandbox" and so on.

This is a different raised problem. As currently discussed problem not only about caps but all snubs as well getting the same treatment.

My problem and solution is not touching any difference for ship classes
while what else discussed is just discrimination against capitals.

This would however be far more constructive to the region in the long-term, and is easier to deal with within the rules. I would much rather see local ships playing their roles, than foreign ships taking those roles away from them. Regional ID'd lolwuts > foreign lolwuts.

Humans being allowed to shoot Nomads is perfectly fine, that's how it should be.

What is not perfectly fine is the blatant disregard for ID roles I see almost every day there: Order+LSF. Coalition+Corsairs. I've seen it all.
These farmers give absolutely no fucks about the diplomacy their utilized factions are supposed to have, all they care about is "hurr durr capship go bzzz"

Edit: And it's not like they're "conveniently" grouping up to fight the greater threat when Nomads arrive, no, that's how they act all the time: as a unified group of ships with any ID that allows caps.

I won't argue, that local ID'd lolwuts are better than out of ZOI lolwuts in terms of RP and common sense, but in terms of ganking, being overwhelmed by turtles or legates doesn't feels to be much different.
So addressing primary problem, that nearly every faction is trigger happy towards nomads, it is simply required to make several more "hot" activity hubs around the map. Especially cap missions.

Why focusing on caps? Cap lolwuts new players are curse and blessing in the same time. I guess, everyone know the "curse" side. But the good side- they can generate activity in the region. 4.85 had tons of examples like Sairs vs OCs; OCs vs IMG/CR; Sairs vs RHs; RHs vs RNCs; RNCs vs LNSs; BAFs vs KNFs; LNSs/BCOREs vs Orders
I wont argue, there were ganking episodes, however, most enjoyable battles were right at the time, when both forces were equal.
