I tried recently to do an outcast char (You may have seen him, its Scrin) ....
here you have the 2 factions description ...
Outcasts and GMGs are clearly ennemies each other.
But why players are they acting like neutral-friendly ?
First answer i had is because they have corsairs as common ennemies. But that's a completly wrong reasonment !
For exemple, corsairs and rheinland. They have hessians and gmg as common ennemies ... but they are at war.
They may have a non-agression pact but in this case, outcasts have to be asked at least to leave sigmas, but here nothing. I was welcomed to come just in front of naha !
I may have search this non-aggression pact in the wrong section cause i can't find it on the forum.
I can add this quote of GMG faction proposal :
The BLS entered a mutually beneficial arrangement with the GMG. As far as I know, that's all I'm allowed to say.

This incident transpired a couple of weeks ago. I was there as my 101stchar , along with 1 or 2 RoS, and many, many, many, SOB:yahoo: Over 20 ships facing 2 lone GMG Fighters - man those guys have guts after all.
The talks seems to have stalled, but in the mean time, all my OC chars are to treat GMG as slightly less than neutral - Menaing ignore unless they ask for someting.
side note - My BLS will follow the agremment whole-heartedley, but since he in a transport, he can do little but call for help and run away. did that earlier today as a matter of fact - 2 corsairs down.

Role played player agreements are all well and good, however the casual (Corsair;)) observer looking in from the outside my see a bit of a pattern.... Outcast players have now managed to wangle their way into "You don't shoot me i don't shoot you lets both shoot corsairs" agreements now with at least two lawful factions GMG and Brettonia that they have no business being anything less than hostile with (by npc rules) and i have vague recollections (but i could be wrong) of them having some kind of "no Shoot" agreement in Liberty as well - which doesn't effect the corsairs directly.
However, its all starting to smell... quite cosy....
I'm tempted... really tempted to test the limits of this and go down the doors opened by the Outcasts, Lets see "Dont shoot me shoot them" agreements between the RM and corsairs, the Kusari forces (actually they have this) and lets make a stretch as the LSF has been sending agents into corsairs space... lets have an agreement on artifact trade with liberty in exchange for joint hostilities against Outcasts ( a stretch i know but hey?)......
I would have to say that GMG and an OC agreement shouldnt exist. RoS show respect for thiere BD friends and dont attack GMG in sigma 13. Now thats about as far as it goes. We have missions that we can take to kill them. And they are one of our biggest enemys from the vanilla version of the game. Although things have changed since then. There are factors that exist that could support nuetrality. But we need to consider the Ballance issues.
Mhm...the supposed 'Peace talks' were two of the GMG being smartasses and one of the newer Outcasts (not even 101st) being taken in by it. They shall not continue, and GMG are to be shot on sight as usual.
