A snub will never be able to attack a repairship that is parked next to a Zapper platform. It's just not possible without being instantly killed.

Lucas has a point about AFK repairing. But he forgot one crucial thing, in this current implementation you need to have RMs in your repair ship hold for the repair to work! So, no holding down RMB with a paperweight for 5 hours straight!

That already requires much more activity than the current mechanics for the attackers! You need to haul extra RMs for the additional repair and avoid getting shot to pieces in your dinky little repair ship...

Hell this mechanic would almost work better for deconstructing a base. (Which is what I believe Paddy actually suggested). Then the attackers would actually require an active instead of passive afking approach with just 1 guy drawing fire from defense turrets.

In fact I believe this would actually balance the siegers vs defenders and if you could also make the defense platforms consume ammo that needs to be hauled it would become a real war of attrition. Blockading ammo sell points to drop down defenses, then go in for the kill. A real siege.
