It has more to do with worker's rights and space resources than it has to do with nationality and culture.

Although inspired by the real life IRA which sees the British presence in northern Ireland as an occupational force, they were never meant to be the same thing, in game, the Molly movement doesn't consist of Irish people necessarily, but of all people employed by the Bretonian corporations and whoever else the Mollys welcomed into the fold.

With that being being said, my personal suggestion which you can ignore is to change the faction's symbol from the Irish Harp to maybe a sci-fi version of the Celtic Knot if you wish to maintain that Irish style.

Or at the very least, modify the Irish Harp to look like something closer to the Freelancer universe because right now it's just the symbol of the nation as it exists in real life and that's sort of eh, the closest "import" of real life symbolism in Freelancer is I guess the flag of Bretonia which is just the Union Jack, but made into a "V" type of shape instead of the square flag, so maybe do something similar with the Harp?
I think we all can agree that this should be the new log of DRA - I demand the change to be made asap

Mollys have always been played/portrayed as stereotypically Irish as far as Discovery goes, with only a few exceptions. I don't know why anyone would bother to get up in arms about it after all these years.

I just misinterpreted something but I still wanna say this.
You see... No one could properly understand bloodwyn. And so no one interacted with him more than they needed to try and blow him up. And due to the impression he made about the Molly's they had no one apply or bother playing as them in anything bigger than a few day old edgy snub craft way. So his language and the language you're attempting to imitate is what killed Molly's to begin with.

So...
Language is hard to understand and easier to just shoot.
Language is uninviting as a standard is expected after witnessing it, from a brand new players perspective ofc. Assuming they're afraid of making mistakes.

Basically, for us who dislike the unrealistically exaggerated irish gibberish, we ask you just tone it down. Because in game it's a nightmare to have to try and read.

Anyway, DRA aren't as active as you used to be. I have to say the first few days of DRA in Dublin were enjoyable with all the factions getting involved.

The one gibberish character is scottish (mine) not Irish at all
and all other high ranking officials speak very official english in comms and ingame

I see the faction as
1) Top Brass and leadership => Official statesmen
2) Pawns and common soldiers => working class that would have chavs you struggle to understand

I don't care about them being Irish, what I do care about are imports. This is what I mean:

Original Molly symbol
[Image: lF1VaWE.png]
Original, fits the Freelancer universe, symbolizes the Molly struggle, Irish themed all in one. 10/10 symbol.

Alternative Molly symbol
[Image: TwItpxX.png]
Shows the Molly struggle, fits the Freelancer universe, even has a Pirate Train or a LRGB thrown in for good measure. 10/10

And now we get to this faction's symbol:
The Harp.
No reference to Molly struggle, no reference to Dublin, nothing about it representative of the Molly movement, could be confused with a faction wanting a purely Irish ethno state, literally an import.

I once again give you my doubts that art direction is going to be changed. Older Molly picture were not used for a good reason of refreshing the image of Mollys, take some more fresh wind into the sails. You look at symbol and assume irish ehtno state while you don't read RP which is fully embracing traditional Molly ways.

And bruh...
