Not in multiplayer, there isn't. It was locked because of overpowered trade routes.

The Jumpgate was locked for a reason explained many a time here. Its to stop the traders getting cash super fast. End of discussion.

Instead of Leeds, Magellan(or New London, Manchester), Cali, New York.
Its just a short trip to the Magellan hole in leeds and then right to the Magellan gate.

It would make atleast... 80-100M an hour...

Its funny you should say that because I calculated how much profit it would make compared to the time it would take if the gate was open and it still makes less than the "New Berlin -> Kyushu" run.

But this point has been asked lots of times and the answer is always that it wont get opened.
