Yes, we have notified indies that Nomad technology should not be at this particular event because it meant to be played in a certain way and with certain tech due to RP setup. Drake event was fun with Wild zombie-styled swarms with assorted tech and Scorpions, here it is meant to be uninformed. A different sort of fun. Indies will be talked to and if problems will appear, sorted on case-by-case basis. Use of FRs in the worst-case scenario is possible just like with any other faction.
We had to turn down K'Hara cap help when we needed it because of it too, which we are terribly sorry about.
Yeah well as you saw this event was dead after the first day.
Next time I'd say you're better off doing a one-off fleet fight when you exclude indies gb+ on one side like this.
And force them into generic tech that doesn't even make that much sense story wise anyways on snubs, andis a pain to setup
And make the JH far from restarts
There really wasn't much point making it a week long official server event, it took place of one that could actually generate activity and include way bigger part of the server. New York had more alien activity that an official event in a system right next to it during the week, that should be ample feedback
In any other community, giving Wild Pawn a Kusari lawful tech cell for the duration of this event (or even permanently, ffs) would have just been common sense.
I am not at all surprised but just as disappointed as ever that Discovery staff are still incapable of making independent decisions and need to run everything through 5000 votes and Zoom calls in order to effect even the tiniest change.
It's good to know the whole thread got locked because there were two (2) posts that "required" warnings. Imagine if the effort it had taken to get irritated at people posting on the forums (oh my God! The horror!) had instead been applied to changing a tech cell to facilitate people actually playing the game.
Sure as hell hope someone won't lock the thread again after you dared to criticize the impeccable system that Discovery follows.
It would not only make sense for the Wild Pawn ID to get Kusari tech, but it would also help with canonizing this event. Border tensions are cool and the community has been begging for some Liberty/Kusari friction for years.
