Freelancer 2

I played Freelancer (1) first time 3 years ago. Now, I am playing on several mods, to explore:D.

But, nothing can compare with what I've seen on some Freelancer 2 trailers, on YouTube. Search for yourself for "Freelancer 2" on YouTube and watch... there are just 2 movies (or more, maybe that I didn't see them).

But, I've searched on 5 private torrents and on Torrents Search Engine (I hope that I am allowed to say the URL : http://www.torrentz.com/) which searches on all public torrents like The Pirate Bay, Mininova etc. Nothing found about Freelancer 2 ! ! ! ! !


Does anybody know if Freelancer 2 has been released, at least? If you have some download links, that would be awesome !

i cna assure you that if Freelancer 2 was even made we wouldent still be playing Freelancer 1 heh

in plain english = there is no Freelancer 2 and it has even been shot down in its production so it isnt even being made unfortunatly

as for those youtube videos they are just probably fan made or early concept work of the project before it was cancelled

So, Freelancer 2 is just a thought? Never been created... that means... <this means swearing anyway> :lol:.

Too bad that Microsoft stopped at Freelancer 1... The story should continue. Like in Freelancer 1 ending : "You will be our contact in Liberty, Trent". Ha:lol:and from there on is the end, no more storymode:lol::lol: .

The ending sucks, I think Digital Anvil sold up they had got to the point that you see ingame, and when Microsoft took over they were to lazy to continue the work, leaving alot of loose ends. Microsoft also terminated alot of features Digital Anvil were developing because they wanted to release FL to a deadline. Biggest mistake ever.

Also, to make matters worse, I've heard the source code will probably look like, "scrambled eggs" because halfway through development the cpmpany sold out, meaning there will be a mix of both company's code. Bloody M$...

EDIT: Ahahaha.... just searched FL2 and got the hamburg City trailer:PLawd that's funny! Bouncing battleships! There was also a trailer for Freelancer 2 that claimed FL2 was being developed for the Xbox 360... Lies?

Yeah, the "Freelancer 2" trailers your finding are most probaply from Darkstar one. Or something like that. At first, i thought it was Freelancer 2 too.

Dopamino, I am "enthuziastic" because the ending of Freelancer sucks:D. I mean, Orillion says "You will continue to be our contact in Liberty". What for? From there on, you're a Freelancer (no storyline, just freelancing):lol:.

I have been looking into this for some time, yet I have come to the conclusion that there will be no Freelancer 2. Unless Microsoft has a massive change of heart, which is unlikely.

It WAS in production for the Xbox at one stage, but was then abandoned.

There is a petition going round to try to get MS to do FL2. But the fact is it is highly unlikely.

Freelancer 2 wasn't named this way. It was named Project Lonestar but MYcro$oft shutted it down.
