He built 3 pobs, upgraded them, moved them, calculated prices, did RP for it all, hired trade companies, and set it up for mining in delta.
By the sound of it, the latest omicron update screwed him over, like it screwed 2 of my pobs. Not gonna even talk about the "ice ore" thing and where it's sold.
I will however remind everyone that none of this drama needs to happen if we just had a staff code of conduct that mandates transparency and working with the community, instead of everyone randomly doing what ever they feel like for whatever whimsical reason totally disregarding large parts of the community.
Everybody understand you man, but discovery passed point beyond which soft means can work. For some years work on systems was very weak and along with some changes (such as pve control plugin) leaded to stance where only full rework can heal gameplay.
RP moments were deeply considered, but of course there always compromise moments and something which we all sacrifice.
And this is why all those guys did very big work about omicron rework, to ensure that disco will live slighty more years, so i ask you - give it chance and try.
let me say again, the post is in general for everything being done this way, because it's affecting everything, ships, missions, equipment, PoB's , economics, players achievements..
i can be more detailed about my stuff, everything has a reason, from building a PoB, saving money to get ships, equipped them and etc... for example i had planned everything so precisely to biuld PoB near TWO mineable resources, in amazing location within all the materials needed, ships, missions, etc. and again, in general i think this will make the players work useless., my idea is simple just extending systems and stuff instead of changing and i think will make more players leaving instead of joining.

You might if you had listened to anything the dozens of people outside the memesquad you so desperately want to be a part of said for the past 3 years.
I paid like 260 mill and made a bunch of RP for a trade route with coords like 4 days before the patch and the route got totally yeeted
And well like 40% of my activity was in Delta that's now gone with cap farming nerfed and Zeta at 50%.
I mean there will always be gross bias as the people working on the changes have their idea of how the game should be played that will be incompatible with others - but the alternative is stagnation. And I will always choose the former, even though it does hurt.
E.g. Nomads have no farming missions now at 100% without being OF. What are ya gonna do - adapt and try to make individual bug requests and suggestions
Yeah, any suggestions? where should someone starts? and then another patch and boom again? no one will makes something that will be lost in a bit later.

Disco tried to went the way of adding more and more systems...and it turned out it is a wrong way. The player base is naturally getting smaller over time (after all, despite all the effort, I don´t know any gaming community revolving around the game as old as Freelancer which would be growing) so if it´s spread in more and more systems, player interactions are harder to get. More content is not always better. And same applies to adding more and more mining ores for example. Spreading players too much makes more harm than good.
Also, all multiplayer games are subject to changes. Thus focusing on one aspect of the game is always risky, because it may get changed. It´s very unfortunate of course to see effort wasted, I wish someone would have warned you about risks related to POBs. Because all Disco veterans know very well that it may end really bad for several reasons, not just patch changes. It has its advantages to stick only to flying ships.

Two mineable resources in Delta was always very silly. I think even before the decisions made in this patch, things were in the works to remedy it. I don't agree with where the Reactor is now, but I didn't agree with it being in Delta either. Delta still has Iridium ore though. Other than that, I don't see what is particular game-breaking about this patch. Delta was in desperate need of a facelift for quite a while. I still don't understand what was so ruinous about these changes.
