Money cap for characters and account

Could someone please advise me of the character and account cap - I seem to remember the freelancer game had a 990Mil account cap - has it been increased on this server.

The hard cap is around 2 billion credits, though I wouldn't recommend going past 1.5 billion per ship.

cap is 2 billion credits (actually 2 billion credits + 100 millions with something, but there is an artificial limit to 2 billion credits)
which is defined by the summarized value of your credits with equipment value.
You can check your current status by writing command /value

The best you can have amount of money, if you create special bank character that has no equipment and just standard sunburst ship. It will be able to take 1'999 million credits.
