Shigeakiki (繁明期) "Time of Prosperity" is a liquid drug created by the Gen'an Cell of the Golden Chrysanthemums. It was designed to aid the Gen'an pilots in high risk missions by enhancing combat efficiency.

The effects of Shigeakiki are an increased blood oxygenation, increased adrenalin levels, hightened senses and suppressed emotions. These effects last roughly an hour. A drawback of the hightened senses is visual light sensitivy, requiring the users to wear shades or darkened visors. Another side effect that can occur from excessive use is neurological damage and heart failure, making recreational use of it a hazard.

The drug is a concentrated cocktail of multiple herbs and extracts. Only two ingredients are known to those outside of the Gen'an Cell, cardamine and chrysanthemum petals, which is the cause of the liquid's gold orange coloration. The other ingredients involved in its creation are a closely guarded secret. The drug is stored in small vials, which contain a single dose, and are easily brought into the field by operatives. But due to its ceremonial use, it is often consumed by mixing a vial of Shigeakiki in boiling water and drinking it as tea. Because of its bitterness, most people drink it with honey to sweeten it.
