Ok, I was in-game and saw a freelancer using a Kusari Bomber (not gonna name people here). Now I have always been a freelancer in my time throughout this game and know the in's and out's of it pretty well. However, now that the ID has changed it's a little confusing. What has changed is that on the ships list down the bottom of the ID it now states Civilian and Border World fighters blah blah blah. Does this mean that freelancers can now only use civi and border world fighters, freighters, transports, gunboats and bombers. If that is the case (I hope it's not) then that will restrict what freelancers can use dramatically.
' Wrote:The 'civilian and borderworlds' line is being removed.
Why?
If freelancers can have any craft up to a gunboat, it will be a proliferation of outcast, coarsair, hession and brit gbs and bombers and such of mixed match craft in a system. Limiting this will continue indie players to make a desicion on what id to get and where to go, gives population diversity with more intended rp.
Lifting the craft restriction will only make ship uses and associated weapons profile look like the junkers had a hayday putting things together.
If there is some reasoning behind this, I sure would like to hear it to broaden my horizon of knowelege.
so even tho ive been oked ingame and have a story in the works im gonna have to lose my libby gb for my freelancer or make it special rp or what?borderworlds craft either fail or make people think your a pirate wannabee

Freelancers and Mercs will still need a reason to have their ship belonging to whatever faction, but they can have them without going through a Special RP request. That's why that line is being removed.
