Do you use VPN? I am interested to hear if yes (Tor browser usage, or small browser plugins are considered as yes too)

If you aren't shy, feel free to elaborate on what are you using it?

Did you have trouble wishing to use it for videos, but had trouble due to speed limits?

Did you have trouble wishing to access USA stuff, but could not due to your internet provider restrictions or USA web sites geo location restrictions?

The only thing I've used VPN's for are steam once as a friend wanted to gift me a game whilst his region was set to Argentina for extremely cheap games, which is actually against steams terms of service, and playing old games with friends over a vpn as it's just easier than port forwarding.

Oh and also setting Netflix region to get access to other shows. If I remember I had set it to Sweden.

I use VPN to connect to my institute to work from home. Mainly using linux console to start calculations, accessing software licenses from servers there, or normal browsers to get access to journals. Running stuff with GUI on computers there and exporting the window to here is kinda slow so I avoid it.

Many years ago I also used time limited free vpn to go around disco bans and spoof geo locations to watch certain media, but had no need to do it for a long time.

I use one to cover my back on public wifi, get around country restrictions on websites, and the expected thing. I haven't tried it on my school's wifi to get around their restrictions yet but that's another thing I grabbed it for.

Surfshark speeds aren't too bad, I only notice a hit if I'm already using internet that's low speed. It's useful when I want to use US streaming sites when I'm out of the US

Had to use one to play disco for a while, when my packet loss was through the roof due to some network node issues.
