Harmony could fly BCs only and had two SRP Dreads. I was surprised also, but they've been allowed to field Dreads since the merge of Harmony and Hellfire.

As I brought up before, Harmony had the ability to create Overlords, not the resources. Counting the fact Harmomy was essentially entirely rebuilt with modifications and maimtenemce of Discovery. As I previously mentioned, inrp wise these Overlords are not the latest models produced by Liberty, but the capability was akways there, the resources were not.

Alright. Tails asked me to chime in here on the background. And while I'd not wanted to do any official Insurgency stuff in a leading capacity this seems to be some unexpected drama that can possibly be cut short.

back then:
It was agreed that IN would keep/get the full lawful line. It was discussed back then that we'd bring in more battleships in a regulated manner(as expected of an OF - don't recall what the discussion on carriers was but my personal order back then was that there would be none unless done with the effort of an SRP). I had pushed for indies getting libdreads or the separatist/Insurgency variant of it. That was denied 'for the time being' back then. So yes, it is intended that Insurgency Navy has the cell. Back when I ran it I had merely not approved any further libdreads to be made until Marshall was finished or a good story arose - that was entirely my decision as a leader and not part of the agreement.

Owning blueprints should never be considered enough to reconstruct a ship(s), with or without resources. It's a silly trend that picked up several years ago that really should remain buried.

Surely the Insurgency should be using Lib tech at 90%?

This isn't just 'blueprints' but I don't really feel like putting up an entire argument for or against these things. Factions fly hundreds of giant ships of which they have like 2 in lore just for gameplay. I personally neither mind or care if indies get knocked down to 90%. The agreement for this annoying merger included keeping the 100% tech. Battlegroup Harmony uses that mainly but even before HF had some SRPed Navy caps that got merged into IN| as well.

I always requested libdreads for indies too because the Arbiter is ugly AND bad. That was purely to reduce the amount of them.
I even had volunteered back then to hand out a libdread copy with the Harmony's texture. That was also denied.

It's easier to find abandoned capital ship in nebula these days.

what if, some rp about some navy captains defect to insurgency? that could be a good explanation for some caps on the insurgency. just saying it would be good to see people stop arguing for so litle things!
