Amidst all serious threads I am actually wondering as to what was YOUR best piracy encounter?

Make us all laugh with your experiences (whichever side you were on) and do know this thread is not meant as a discussion but merely to share some fun, funnier and most funny experiences regarding piracy in-game (RP)

So, to kick it off, some of my best piracy RP experiences were:

1. Where a pirate actually gave me a chance by throwing a dice. This in itself made things even more 'exciting' (as well as that the encounters were fun. So much I went back again after a while!)

2. A situation where, after having paid the pirate, we had a great inRP chat and I even defended the pirate when the law-enforcement arrived (telling the officer nothing happened)

I guess you all have even better stories about cool encounters. I love to read them here!

Not sure if this is the best one I had but it's coming to mind.

I was on an Interspace transport moving through Stuttgart toward New Berlin. I was stopped by a Hessian. A cruiser I believe. Of course he demanded money at which my interspace captain quickly stopped him.
An upset tirade of reminders of IC's sacrifices to support the hessians later, he wished me good luck and paid me three million credits.

With my LWB I used to ask for "Donations", but that wasn't everything. I also asked my victims to take a selfie with me. 7 years ago.

A few months ago I was attending Freeport 9 with my GMG 5k, back when it bought premium scrap. A man in a bomber or something tried to pirate me for credits, but he didn't have much chance of success as it was basically on top of the station, where I could easily dock.

However, I noticed he had an unmounted codename in his hold and offered to buy that from him as payment. It worked out and we both went our ways.

That was cool.

I just remembered another one...

I was stopped in my transport by a pirate who was angry and very, very much demanding. Now I've experienced piracy numerous time yet this particular player made me wonder if there was something ooRP bothering him/her. So after the encounter I asked: "Hey buddy, are you okay?" and the answer was something like: "Yeah, I'm fine, just in character".

This was amazing role-playing and I was pleasantly amazed (both by the RP and my reaction to it)

The last thing I want to do is hurt you, but it's still on the list...

Everything involving BMF| and their FL-ER thugs, back when MacRae was in charge and Hydrocarbon mining was a thing in Manchester. Can't really name one encounter in particular, it's been half a decade now, but honestly all of them were fabulous. Certainly made prowling around Manchester hell of a lot more fun than it should have been.

Was chasing a trader through Coronado along with a buddy of mine, the trader lured us into Tau-29 where we flew straight into a Crayter Republic group. The Crayters were getting ready to take us down and my pirate acted all clueless as to why this whole reception, arguing that he never broke any laws in Crayter space. Crayter accused us of chasing that trader, but the trader was by now long gone off the radar and we were like "what trader?"

There was no evidence of us committing crime in CR space and even though we had Pirate IDs, the folks at CR went in with the RP that we were just civilian pilots passing through. Props to CR for being a good sport.
