The Last Bomber overhaul was a nice idea. but there was made a big Mistake by Touching the NOVA TORPEDOS. I just tried it in Conn against a Corsair Cruiser and I had to Fly Close to under 300m to make a nova HIT. this is in a Fleet Fight absolutely Suicidal. Please Change the Nova Range back to what it was before the Patch. Like this, it makes no Sense to Fly a Bomber. the Job of a Bomber is to Give Fire Support to Friendly Caps from Long Range. but like this it is Useless in that Role. a Good Cap Player will shoot down the Bombers like nothing.

ok let me Explain, the Nova Torpedo had before the Patch a range of 3k at best but even they had a low hit chance, now you have to Fly Suicidal Close to a target that will likely just shoot you down before you can even Fire. so that the People better understand what I mean I have made a Screenshot that shows the range in that a Nova Hits a Cap. it's nowhere near the 1.4k that the Infocard for the Nova Says.

bombers have just become less of a threat on its own, make bombers great again.

the snac rework was not the best idea either, the adrenaline and excitement of pewing in a bomber or against a bomber has disappeared.

these are my opinions as to what the rework has done to bombers, i understand it may have been for the better of 'balance' reasons but i feel that it has just made bombers a little irrelevant and discouraging to use.

i have not logged my bomber for any pews since the change, there is no reason to if i have a fighter or cap to bring out instead. only situation i would log a bomber is if i have multiple caps on my side already, yet again it is discouraging as fighters would just maul me down easily

eh what i meant was barely logging it for pews, i did test it out in conn and used it a few times for inrp pews

misunderstanding on my part woops

its a little hard to keep track of what im writing when using a phone

Let's all give these changes a while to "mature", shall we? Exaggerating things like Novas' effective range (I was hitting Cruisers just fine - in so far as you could ever hit Cruisers "fine" with Novas - at about 1km) doesn't help anyone, either.

During testing all our numbers varied greatly and we tried to create a world in which caps wouldn't get absolutely eaten by bombers either. Maybe we played it too safe in that regard and can amp up the shield resistances a little again, who knows. I'd like to not draw conclusions based on six seconds of conn gameplay, though.

I'd amp damage to big ships greatly instead of shields really
Sure het close and get eaten by fighters, but be a class canon :]

EDIT: of course we should let some time pass on live server

I already provided you with a solution that would make battleships feel less miserable against smaller things. But as is tradition, the balance team preferred to nerf things by lowering the stats, not by buffing something that could work as a countermeasure

Besides, if it worked out for you it doesn't mean it'll work out for everyone else.

I Am Definitly on your Side with this. as i wrote this i was in a State of shock and anger as i saw the novas as they were as nearly Perfect. A Experienced Cap Player could shoot them downnwith Flack and they where not overpowerd in my eyes.

But i talked with some Dev Friends of mine, and came to the Conclusion that its a Great thing to Support such a old Game with new Stuff. so take the Time Needed to Balance the New Changes and make them Usefull and Fair for all.

ohhh damn! so it is a nova problem! right! i tested the new changes on single player when the server was down, and i was fighting a npc gunboat and barely hitting with the novas, i even thought that npcs now have countermeasures.

I just did a mission that included the destruction of one outpost, and the novas despite several hits did zero damage. zero ... nada ...
