Okay, the last part of the latest update doesn't make sense to me. The ghosts killed two people and scared the s*** out of the others, and then they flew away. Why the heck do they think that they've won? During the whole event the ghosts have only been picking them off a few at a time. Each time they leave, but then they come back for more. I know that these people are Corsairs, but are they really that stupid?
Because they were displaying signs that something isn't quite right... it'll be explained in the next post. We took a small jump into the future with this one.
Still, Zapp, I must acknowledge that Dopa has a point there. The group had never actually seen the ghosts to know what was normal to them and what wasn't. As far as the group was concerned, they were as bizarre looking and mannered as they could have expected from such a force. What I mean is that in our involvement with both sides of the story, we may have failed to portray a reasonable reaction to the group because we were now focused on the ghosts. Take a second (fifth or sixth) read.
Maybe a hasty exit while they had the chance, instead of all the kissing and hugging would look better.
Edit: "...had they truly won, or was it just a ploy?" still sounds like they were able to effectively do anything to defend themselves. Ending on more of a "Why the hell did they go away? We were sitting ducks!" question might be better.
Sorry to be so picky:P
