Subject: Superior tactics wins against powerful enemies

Mesdames, Messieurs, bonjour!

Incredible moment of tactics today, messieurs, simply incredible!

I commanded the VG Libérateur today, the Émilie being busy with routine maintenance. I led the ship to Provence, in order to gain intel from potential Navy ships flyin' around. Well, I was right!

i sighted two filthy Gallic Navy battleships, occupied with a fleet of Outcast destroyers. The Libérateur couldn't even fathom combating a single one, but two? Nah.
My XO hastily planned something, a maneuver that'll rip apart the battleships, without us firing a single shot. Shepherding the destroyers, and leading them to the two battleships. It was genius. We couldn't engage neither, but we could do something.

The Libérateur wistood heavy damages, but it was well worth it. The Outcasts were successfully baited, and led to the first one, Lone.Starr: it was absolutely annihilated by the filthy Outcasts fleet.

The second battleship, appeared slightly after, we weren't sure it'll work for this one, as it was more distant and didn't even assist its fellow battleship. The Outcasts fleet, refocused on our ship, and we exploited this: full speed, toward the second battleship, JacquesJour, in order to lead the Outcasts fleet again toward them. A pure success: the battleship jacquesJour was shredded by them. We quickly fled, with a heavily battered Libérateur, but it was very, very well worth it.

An absolute feat. I wasn't sure we would even make out from this alive. Thankfully, we arrived again in Roussillon.

What the Merde is happening,

As if Sirius couldn't get even more confusing - now our allies are shooting each other? The Fae and Gaians? They putain both fought side by side just mere weeks ago!
Just what is this.

The Gaians said the fae are somehow related to the Vatan type strange aliens the Royalists control and that a Fae ship shot them? But they also trust the openly Union allying Order?

The Gaians we trust, they helped us in Orkney, they helped us repel the Enclave from Roussillon and continue to be trusty allies. Fae have done a lot forus also - even side by side with the Gaians! If we have to choose, the Gaians have more history with us and there will be no choice but to side with them.

But I would rather not. Even if Lorraine, Champagne and Caussade projects all work out we will still be against impossible odds, against an enemy no alien can possibly compare to, with ancient ships repaired in dire conditions with a fraction of the numbers of our enemies. Losing an ally would be devastating. We will hear from the Gaians and we will try to really collect massive mountains of data before we openly pick sides.

One a lighter note, the Lancer Jeanne Bassettwas amazing, we patrolled, went to Martinique, got into this confusing mess and finally cleansed our pallet from the confusion by letting her witness some of my good old core Maquisard extremist arm skills.

An eventful day to say the least!

Calm before the storm

This is what you could call this period. Out three intertwined projects will soon come to an explosive conclusion. Caussade is done and dusted, Champagne is all but guaranteed to be a success and Lorraine - well, Lorraine. If we somehow pull that off in November despite our plan, it would be such a massive an unexpected victory it would move us towards taking down the Union well head of schedule.

In the meantime as our plan is well in motion I have taken a little holiday and hopped on one of our thruth spreading freighters to try to get allies in far reaches of space. And who don't I run into!

This was thrilling! We usually even don't care about money, but this time we got some for sport! We have shot down a GMS freighter. It had 20 crewmen on board and 3 VIP Executives:

We got all the info from them we needed after a little girl talk. And by girl talk I mean light torture. Then it was time for the thrills!

We found a GMS Employee and proceeded to have an entertaining situation with the VIPs and crewmen.

I joined the crew of the Guillotine on her test flight after a refit. While we were nearing Planet Metz, we stumbled upon an Intelligence battlecruiser, harassing a passing transport:

As soon as her captain saw us approaching, he decided to incorporate us into his threats and went on to attack Guillotine:

Our people on bridge didn't take his show of exagerated ego very seriously (who would?):

After a short fight, the Union warship had been incapacitated, although they managed to call for help. Unfortunely for them, the bomber arrived too late to have any meaningful impact on their fate.

Seeing as he didn't do any good to his friends, he tried to at least take vengeance,

But wasn't very effective at it.

So what did he do? He also called for help, which arrived in form of a Valor-class battleship. Sadly, this was too much firepower for the already damaged Guillotine and we were quickly rendered not combat-capable, although not without taking a significant part of the battleship with us.

After the Union forces left assuming we're floating dead in space, we reactivated the hastily repaired drives and headed to Verdun for repairs, which should be able to bring the Guillotine back to combat readiness in almost no time. They really should pay more attention to what they leave behind them, but well - what could you expect from the Union?

It would appear the Gallic Royal Enclave's flag flies once more over Gallia. Their tactics don't seem to have changed at all however. \*/~GNS-Rocher fled without a word at first sight of our rugged Vessel - hard to teach an old horse new tricks I suppose, they did spend quite a long while hiding.

More space for us as our project still continues. The Redemption husks have now made it all the way from Champagne to Roussillon, and Caussade crews are hard at work trying to repressurise the rusty skeletons.

Pamiers' sister ships won't do much against the modern Union Technology even in numbers, but judging by today's encounter they might just be enough to scare some of the weaker links away without a fight and let us achieve some of our goals

Well this was a long time coming - one of the secret agent people hailed in our direction. The Liberty Security Force agent Hafnarfjall wants to see Gallic Union first hand.

Now I am asking you try not to kill him, give him access to Limoux and other minor bases. He even went so far as to hand over Gallic Brigands fully knowing I will release them - this guy's all right. If he over time does what he says he can - actually engage the Gallic Navy and GNI in open fights - he might even become one of us, who knows.

A Junker Radman told me about some activity in Orkney, there might be some construction going on of some sorts, Fort something - he has seen increase of Navy activity and worries that smuggling might be harder. Now ordinarily I wouldn't give a single putain about what a Sirian that doesn't know safe smuggling routes says, but the Junkers might prove useful yet.

So it's no wonder they have to rebuild Orkney, but I would hate on us to miss out on any easy Navy pickings, if there are some. I am putting you completely in charge - maybe it's nothing, perhaps there are lone transports to take down maybe you will need the Military arm to deploy what is available - you have been flying with us for long enough for me to trust your judgement fully and trust you can take charge.
