hello all, I'm Cyfier, currently an utter newbie to the mod, after 3 days i'm still trying to get on my feet, flying a tech 3 ship with little credit to afford repairs. I am Highly ambishous whcih ties in well with what i have planned. As former commander of the Traders Alliance from another server, i hope to rebuild much of the same here without the ties of 'we help you start, so you help us now' hense why i'm still struggling on the DIY start up.

I'm a heavy Roleplayer but fail to understand this 'you are this pilot type so you only do this', i feel that is always very narrowminded and always ask the questions like 'why can't a trader have dealings with a pirate?' or 'Whats wrong with that police force having back hand contracts with that Merc group?' I think Roleplay, or true form Roleplay should make allowances for every possibility otherwise we become nothing more than slightly advanced NPC's, this of course is within reason, jumping from one pilot type to another never made much sense to me but neither do traders committing crimes such as piracy. Roles allow us certain 'fronts' be don't define the four axes (Good-Evil or Lawfull-Chaotic), this are simple boundries and it is the roleplayers choice on how far he/she can push these with acceptance to consequence.

I'm also very out-spoken, i say my piece but i never preach it. I never expect everyone to have the same standards in everything as i do, much as i would lack knowledge of something else they may be aware of, this is one of the many reasons i don't preach to people despite my abililty to be excessively out-spoken.

My Intentions are clear at the moment, i intend to build a large scale trade corporation, i say Corp in no reference to eve-online's tag for guilds/clan's but only to the fact that a trade guild seems to small for what i would like to do, I want it to be primarly a Trade group, but i don't want that to narrow the field for alternative business oppertunities, by all means this does not indicate that the group will pirate the oppisssion, in fact it means to say that going from A to B and back again is not the only function of trade groups, Trade simply refers to the exchange of something in order to gain profit, this can be weapon dealing, arms trade, the exchange of intelligence, in short, an ID Chip will not define what or how pilots trade. again, within reason, things like services (escort, bounty) are best left to those with more appropiate chips. This one of many dreams i have, this is my primary dream, this is what i will not budge on, but, i'm a roleplayer thats just gone on about the acceptance of possibility, who knows where RP may take me, for all i know, i could fall into a bad bunch and end up a pirate, with that said, i can't afford the I.D Chip.

oh, and another couple of my skills, are ranting on about complete nonsense and writing long forum posts

Fly Safe.

Cyfier

Welcome to discovery!

We have two trading factions here at work, if you're interested in joining either of them and getting a feel for what faction life is like here before starting your own (Which I'd highly suggest). One of which is Gateway Interstellar, an evolution of Gateway shipping, which I'm a part of and you can find a link to our recruitment facility in my signature, and the other is RepEx Shipping, which is also a fine company and has been around before Gateway (But we're still better :P).

Other than that, all I have to say is: Remember, Synth Paste makes your teeth turn purple and your hair fall out!

[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
[12:49:19 AM] Elgatodiablo: You know its nice that you have all that proof and all, Bacon... but I just don't believe you.

Hello and welcome to Discovery! Normally, I would post a big long introduction and links to certain parts of the forum, but Majkp already did it for me, and I didn't even pay attention!! Imagine that! Go here for all the information you need to know about the server, including the links to the rules, roleplay section, faction forums, and more!!

Enjoy your time here on the server, I know I sure have!

You fear oblivion. Yet you forget. The universe remembers every atom of your being. Even dust hums your name in the dark.
Roleplay is dead. Long live Powertraders and PvP I guess.

It's all true. Read my stories, join the LPI (Liberty Police) and HAVE FUN! Oh, and you should add 'privateering' to the list of things you could do, with a generic Pirate ID... did you know that the Dutch West India Trading Co. would pirate Spanish treasure ships? Yeah, that's what trade co.s are supposed to be, I think. At least it'd be awesome.
