Honestly I prefer it as an Omicron exclusive thing. It gives the local factions purpose (when there's not oorp silliness like now) At least for the higher tier / cap missions.

Not necessary nomads, but I'd say every house should have an easy access to high reward missions, to somehow attract players actually being in-game,
Just remember Omicron Eta times. There were always around 4-5 MNS caps.

It's the same in O.Tau now
you team up with randos to do missions
Have a PoB that buys at good prices
Obviously means going there as anyone but outcasts is suicide

But you still get a lot of PvE teaming up interactions

There should really be systems carefully placed between home systems designed to be hotspots for PvE. I proposed a similar thing here.

Oh hey, guess what phase 2 is, just for all of Sirius' hotspots. Wink

Retired, permanently.

I've heard of it. After seeing Delta recently I'm not sure if it's the right move. That might be an issue specific to the Omicrons though.

Hello everyone! Just a quick question here as i am a bit confused. So from what i can gather the kill bounty is calculated based on the estimated strength of the NPC ship that you destroy. So up until recently the amount of bounty i have been getting has been consistent to the rules detailed in this thread (900,000 for one gunboat for example), however, today i upgraded and got my first Battlecruiser (the Core one), and since then, all gunboat bounty kills dropped to 540,000 per gunboat. I tried playing around with different ID's but the results are the same, so i can only assume that's because of the ship being more powerful. However, i haven't seen anywhere any rule saying the power of the NPC enemy is being calculated relative to the power of your own ship. Have i missed anything? or is this drop in bounty due to something else entirely?

You are correct, payouts scale with ship classes, weaker ships paying more. When the system was first introduced, payouts were static.

Edit: Consult this guide.

Thanks for the quick reply! Awesome system by the way, makes missions a lot more worthwhile!

I have a couple of questions regarding PvE.

is mission difficulty range depending on base a thing? If yes,

- Where can I find higher difficulty missions?
- Is there a list of bases where said missions are offered?

I've also heard about "Battlefields(zones)". What are they, and how they work?
