Greetings Monsieur Boucher,
Jonas Hudson here, former Leeds Resister and Privateer. You may be surprised to hear from me sir, you may not have been aware, but we spoke recently. I must confess I was a little taken aback by that sudden interception as I was traversing the Roussilon System. Kudos to you on that. I didn't want to admit my true identity at the time, but that was me piloting that 'Lance' bomber by the callsign "Radman". I'm hoping to contact you as a liason to the Maquis. I had good dealings with the Maquis back during the sieges of Leeds and New London, and offered up my secret bases deep in the West Leeds Smog Cloud in Leeds at the time as a safe port for Maquis ships moving around the warzone.
I was aware of the route in from my time traversing the Arran Ice Cloud as a Privateer during the war. My purpose was to seek out some up to date information on potential markets in the area, and keep my eyes peeled for potential Royalist activity. I hope that information I passed on to you was useful, here's a cam from my Dunlin I took as I was on my way up to Lanquedoc [X]. You mentioned the markets for Military Salvage and the use of Junkers. Again I must confess I've made a few trips to a good spot out there already, smuggled it back through Rheinland, and saved my credits for couple of months to help pay for a new facility I just built in orbit of Planet Gaia. It is my intention to make my home there, and I wish to open the place as an open port/ salvage sorting facility. A standard civilian trading post I hope will be a good start to warding off further Royalist and Union influence here.
Which leads me to a proposition I have for you and the Maquis. I operate (Advertisement) a Civilian 'Bustard' industrial carrier equipped with a Mk IV jump device, and my own hyperspace scanning vessel. I can provide jump coordinates to you and yours and offer you the ability to use my vessel for making hyperspace jumps in and out of Sirius, to the Edinburgh system. I can provide coordinates for my end, but I have old coordinates for the Provence system, and they are likely not aligned with the celestial bodies of that system anymore. If you could provide fresh coordinates to a safe area like Monte Carlo Freeport, I would be happy to help jump your units back and forth to Sirius in whatever way you can make use of. And so, you folks would be welcome out at Hudson's Platform anytime! I'll open the base to the buying selling of Military Salvage, and I can easily agree to sell some of the salvage I mine to your buyers closer to home in Languedoc. In the future, I'll also have plenty of supply contracts to fill.
Sorry to hit you with a big deal so suddenly, but it seems that the winds are changing again in the Taus like a sudden storm. It looks like now might be a good time to make a deal. After all this time, I find myself more skeptical of the Gallic Union government, and it appears there is a sudden crisis developing on Gaia that may be linked to this new base in Orkney [X]. I fear the GU has an interest in approaching Edinburgh again. There might be things going on here soon that will no doubt be of interest to the Maquis. Please let me know if any of this sounds agreeable.
Always about profits with you people isn't it! Well, might as well indulge you. About the coordinates - let's just say we have already put into motion our way of getting the ones you needed. We still know fuck all about Sirius as you probably noticed, so if you can share Sirian coordinates and tell us about the places, maybe we can use them to look for support and stop being so oblivious to what people are doing.
As to the salvage, well - I have a little more in mind. There is a deeply hidden Brigands base that appears as a rock amongst many in Languedoc. It's has minimal defenses and appears dead to maintain the facade, but in reality it's the Brigands built amd FLG and Corse frequented Gallic Underworld hub, capable of redistributing Military Salvage.
Martinuque is the name, and it is located in upper Sector 4G in the Languedoc system. It currently buys Military Salvage at 2500 credits per unit, and has historically struggled to get Junkers interested in helping to deliver Salvage to the base.
I have no clue how you Junkers operate, or if that price is correct, and you can negotiate an increase - we just need former Council technology for our repairs and then barter the rest for supplies. Martinique is open for deliveries, and I will contact you once we have the coordinates so we can share for yours.
What you do in Edinburgh is your business - just don't piss off our allies, and give us a call if you see any Royalists or Gallic Navy putains around that we get to take care of.

Thanks for your swift reply Mr. Boucher,
Aye well I preferred to make my credits chasing transports but sadly it never quite paid as well. The thrill of the chase made up for that through! With any luck we can all profit from this. I can indeed provide you with an encrypted data packet containing a set of recent coordinates to an open area in the Edinburgh system not far from Planet Gaia. Whenever you do wish to pop over, just let me know and send your set and I can jump out to pick you up, my ship has two docking modules that can contain snubcraft, and we should be able to bring a few smaller craft along with the main jump. And this way if you have your own jumpable ships you wish to use, you can keep the coords to use to jump in and get fresh scans. But like I said, for now if you need the jump just say the word and I'll take the Ragnarok out.
As to this Martinique place, that sounds like a great idea. I was planning to make regular runs in and out of that area so I'm happy to know another safe port and I have no problem doing a few short runs to stock you up before heading back to Sirius. That price seems fine to me, and I'll probably buy and sell for around 4000/u myself, for those who wish to only come out that far from house space. I'll also see about recruiting some new Junkers to join in. Typically though I can get a lot done with my one vessel.
When it comes to Gaia, I'll say this, I'll be doing all I can to strongly discourage any Royalist influence, Gallic Union influence, and anyone who may threaten to destroy the planet. Lord knows, I don't plan to go to war, but I don't think I could stand around during another Leeds either. Otherwise, I hope to help stabilize the system with some good old fashioned business. If no one bothers me over it, I won't bother them. I'll be in the local area for the time being, when you are wanting to try that jump, I won't be far mate.

Our supplier has delivered and the coordinates to the Gallic Freeport are on your way on a tight secure beam. Let's see what you can do - I am curious what Sirian sights will your coordinates point us to - please tell us what we will be expecting to find in your reply.
We have relied on the Council politicians for the longest time to deal with Sirian affairs and have been bottled in Gallia and our causes and bases so do not go assuming that you can skip what would be common knowledge to you Sirians about the places you point us towards.

I can't thank you enough for that set of coords, I may need them more than I first thought. Unfortunately, I may be unexpectedly bogged down in the Edinburgh System for a little while before I can get back out to do any more scans. But rest assured that when I can, I do fairly regular scans of the odd Freeport, and would be happy to forward copies back to you, and that should help you folks out in the long run. For now at least you have those coords to Edinburgh and can now get around Gallic Navy activity in the gateway systems to Sirius freely. At the very least, it's like having a secret back door, just in case.
On my end, the Gaians here have suddenly been caught moving in huge amounts of weaponized bacterium to the surface of Gaia, and it leads me to believe they are planning to wipe out the human habitants while they are still rather helpless down there. Not only that, but it seems this may be first step in driving off all human habitation near Gaia, including the orbital docking platform and my new base. Due to the threat, I've evacuated my base and am holding a new position within the system, but I'd rather not say where even with this level of encryption. I'll be holding here for now to see how bad the damage is. If things get that bad I may need to use the back door myself to jump my Bustard out to Monte Carlo Freeport, just to get out of the heat for a while! I'll try to send word when I know more.
When it comes to most Tau systems we actually have our reliable supplier that can get coordinates - we are looking for places we don't know of that could either prove useful or allow us to learn about Sirius.
And good luck with the whole Edinburgh mess - way too complex for me to navigate in, smarter brains in The Front are figuring out just what's going on over there, I just do what I am asked to while dealing with things I know. If you prove to have fire for our cause and will be willing to help with the Salvage and Coordinates we won't be ones to refuse you refuge should you need it.
