EVE Online anyone?

Just downloaded the free trial and was wondering if any of you lovely folks here on the forums have fooled around with it any. If so, what is your take?

well, I havent played it, but from what I've heard everytime you die you lose everything and have to start over.

Permadeath is not something I find fun in online games full of lolwutting noobs in battleships flying around ganking people.

Well the way it works is you lose everything but you can get inssurance so when you die you get part of your money back. But since you only get money for the ship, you still have to pay for the equipment that you had (which in some cases can cost more than the ship does).

I thought it was a ok game except for the fact you had to pay to play.

i played it when it first came out for about 6 months. i couldn't get over losing everything when i died.

back then insurance only covered about 80% of your worth i believe and that was the most expensive one. i ended up mining ore the whole time i was on just to pay for my insurance payment. miner 2 lasers came out right before i quit so ming took a lot longer back then.

it was a beautiful game...i miss it at times, if only out of nostalgia

playing such games alone, without people you know is REALLLYYYYY lame. That is what that made me stop playing it in the first time and second one.

Third one, I was playing a trial with sniper.

me and my friend played it for 2 yrs and it was fun as long as u find a good corp and allience to join. the problem is it gets expensive and the 1st couple times u get killed it will piss u off but u will get used to it. if u get a good corp they will make it alot easier and funner
