Subject: Military salvage from EFL, turned out to be junk indeed

09 June 745 A.G.S.

I was running a checkpoint in Picardy when this EFL ship showed up. He was carrying some sort of military salvage. I thought there might be some useful stuff in there and he happily donated 500 units of that stuff. Turns out, it was all just junk - wasn't worth as much as I had thought. But who likes junk? The junkers of course! I knew of a junker in New Berlin so I dropped off this stuff there for some profit.

Also ran across a GMS miner along the way there, he happily filled my cargo hold with some ore as well. Not a bad day in all.

[FLG]NT-Rebel: Bonjour.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Stop transport.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: What do we have here?
Mystique: Bonjour!
Mystique: Please, do not shoot, I have a family, monsieur!
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Well, I was thinking of hitting this big red button but maybe we can come to a compromise.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: What's in your cargo hold?
Mystique: It is just some old wiring, panels, a few broken weapon components
Mystique: bound for Rheinland
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Uh huh, probably from the wrecks of Languedoc.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: There may be interesting stuff in there, you never know.
Mystique: Oui
[FLG]NT-Rebel: How about this, I will help lighten your load by 500 units. I could make use of it.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: And you can be on your way.
Mystique: If you will find anything there... It will be a miracle
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Well you never know. Could be a nice weapon in there or two.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Bon. Now off you go.
Mystique: Thank you, I am out of here!

Subject: Tau-53

17 June 745 A.G.S.

To all cells and units of the Front in Tau-53:

As you already know, based on publicly available news reports and our own observations, the Kusarians have withdrawn their forces from Tau-53, leaving behind scuttled wrecks. This is a prime opportunity for the Front to occupy and exert dominance in this system. We already have Lapalisse Depot, which will serve as our operating base for the system. Controlling this system will also facilitate exchange of supplies between us and our allies, the Blood Dragons. Furthermore, based on this new report from some company called All Worlds, we should expect increased traffic in the system from miners and transports looking to "get rich" off raw hydrocarbons.

Now, I have deployed an agent to Monte Carlo Freeport in Provence, who has reported that sellers that are willing to purchase these raw hydrocarbons for a decent price. This is a prime opportunity for the Front to raise much needed credits to fund our projects, including the construction of a base in Limousin, and the restoration of Toulouse. Step up patrols around the anomalies leading to Kusari space in Tau-53, and you will be rewarded.

Remember, we do not tolerate anyone who does not cede to our demands. You know what to do with them.

Subject: Get those Cardamine addicts

20 June 745 A.G.S.

To all cells and units of the Front:

Okay everyone. Some of you may know that our Corse allies have agents on Planet Manhattan handing the Nox distribution and black market. And we need them as partners and suppliers since we sorely lack allies (Yes I know, we have a few, namely Dragons and Unioners). You all probably know, on Sirius News there was a report that other groups are looking to tap into the black market on Manhattan. If your head was in the sand and you haven't heard, read here.

Now then, the Corse's main competition are the Outcasts and their Cardamine. And... guess what? They need people to become addicted to Nox, not that other stuff. So, while the Corse do their job of running their substance, our job is to eliminate the competition. Anyone carrying Cardamine, kaboom. I don't care if they're Outcasts or some stupid contractor who should have found another line of work. Just make them explode.

Also don't touch that stuff if you find any. Just destroy it.

Subject:Outcasts

Putain the Merde Jacobin, you sure are taking your job seriously!

Just remember - the Sniffers, we kill them for sport. The Corsicans they just don't get us, money this money that - they don't breathe for our movement, but we work with them and need them - just don't go overboard, eyes on the prize so to speak.

I can't even remember why we have been murdering Outcasts and vice versa - they sort of shot the Council and Maquisard scouting parties in Tau-37 when we got there for the first time, and neither of us are forgiving peoples - it sure is entertaining to watch them burn isn't it Jacobin - so let's keep doing that - forget taking it seriously, have a great time, drink some nice wine over the bodies of the burnt Outcasts you kill and then return back to the real work to focus on who the real enemy is - those Union fuckers.

Enjoy your vacation - I will send those that need to let of some steam your way!

Subject: Freelancer Cardamine smuggler encounter

03 July 745 A.G.S.

A few days ago I encountered a Freelancer flying a Serenity full of Cardamine. I thought about blowing him up the old Maquisard way but I guess I was in a good mood and demanded some Cardamine for the boss to send to the research division. The Unione Corse could probably make use of it too in their quest to get people to use Nox.

During our conversation, some pirate frigate named "Pawn" showed up. The Cardamine smuggler fled to Tau-23, but we gave chase. Pawn managed to deal the final blow and we tractored in the Cardamine. I brought some of it back to Charost for secure storage and to forward to the Corse at the earliest opportunity.

Stupid transport pilot too, he kept calling me a hypocrite. If he was smuggling Cardamine in a Valor, we would not have had that conversation. I pick my battles.

[+]Audio Recording:
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Bonjour.
Kent_Mansley: Hello there
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Running cardamine eh?
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Stop.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: I can't say I'm a big fan of that.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Why? Why cardamine? The Outcasts aren't exactly nice people.
Kent_Mansley: True, but last I checked this isn't Gallia
Kent_Mansley: And not all Outcast's are bad people
[FLG]NT-Rebel: True it's not Gallia, and I do feel patriotism towards Gallia, even though the Union believes otherwise.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: But I'm not here to enforce the Union's laws.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: How about this, normally I take some cargo and let you go.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: But cardamine....
[FLG]NT-Rebel: I think my boss would be interested in analyzing some of that stuff. So how about 300 units and we can part ways.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: I'm not sure I even want to try to use this stuff.
Kent_Mansley: I don't know if my contact would be too happy about that
[FLG]NT-Rebel: I'm not asking man.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: I wouldn't try my luck if I were you.
Kent_Mansley: Maybe we could work out something else
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Uh huh.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: You better talk quick because I'm getting impatient.
Kent_Mansley: Why, you got somewhere to be?
[FLG]NT-Rebel: No, but you are testing my patience.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: You seem awfully eager to drift into that trade lane.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: So why don't you back off before my guns shift directions.
Kent_Mansley: I ain't goin in sideways if that's what you think
[FLG]NT-Rebel: You never know. Now talk before I shoot.
Kent_Mansley: Can't imagine that would be too comfortable
Kent_Mansley: I'm talkin
[FLG]NT-Rebel: I asked for 300 units to bring to my boss.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: I'm waiting for that, and you wanted to "negotiate"
Kent_Mansley: I thought you said you don't like the stuff?
[FLG]NT-Rebel: That's right, I don't.
Kent_Mansley: and you're going to give it to your boss?
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Well let's see what he has to say about it.
Kent_Mansley: ain't that kinda hypocritical?
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Yeah I know.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: I'll let him decide what to do with it.
Kent_Mansley: Or, you could let me go
[FLG]NT-Rebel: The alternative is you could drop all of it and I'll blow it all up.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: What good would that do me?
Kent_Mansley: We'll if you give it to your boss you're just distributing
Kent_Mansley: that would make you no better than me
Kent_Mansley: on the other hand, you let me go, you at least no it's no going to any of your people
[FLG]NT-Rebel: True. The alternative then is to do this the old Maquis way oui? Just blow stuff up.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: The Maquis already hate the Outcasts...
[FLG]NT-Rebel: And you're helping them... hmmm.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: This is starting to sound like a good idea.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Oh a pirate.
Pawn: Interesting.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Interesting indeed.
Pawn: Have any luck so far?
[FLG]NT-Rebel: I'm pretty close to hitting the red button on this cardamine smuggler.
Pawn: This-
Pawn: Aha!
Pawn: Now now now, I wouldn't mind that cargo for myself.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Er, I guess I won't judge if you want some.
Kent_Mansley: Wow, what a hypocrite
Pawn: Lets fill these pods up.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Eh, I pick my battles.
Pawn: Captain of the Kent Mansley. Or if that's just your name. Whichever.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: If you haven't noticed, you kind of outgunned here.
Pawn: You will transfer over as much of your cargo to the Pawn now.
Kent_Mansley: You won't let me sell it to people who need it, but you'll et a pirate have it.
Pawn: My kids need to eat, too.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Again, I pick my battles.
Pawn: Tractorbeam is set. Opening transfer.
Pawn: Oh.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Powering weapons.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: This one is running.
Pawn: Bad luck. I'll crack it out then.
Pawn: Tough luck. Crack it.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Now then.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Time to open fire. Turret mounts. Fire at will
2022-07-02 01:52:33 SMT
Death: Kent_Mansley was put out of action by Pawn (Missile/Torpedo).
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Well.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: That was not what I had expected.
Pawn: Ha! Cracked, tractoring complete.
Pawn: Now, if you don't mind.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Too bad, I asked nicely too. Anyway.
Pawn: We've no issue with you, so we'll just take this nicely to sell.
Pawn: Today, we are ships passing in the night of space!
[FLG]NT-Rebel: I prefer people use Nox but... again, I pick my battles.

[FLG]NT-Rebel: Back off from the trade lane will ya.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: I'm going to hit this big red button soon.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: Crayter be damned.
[FLG]NT-Rebel: They're not our friends.
Gateway|-GSV-Bangalore: Look... we will be happy to ship reinforced alloy to you

Subject: Interesting conversation with Navy ship

07 July 745 A.G.S.

I had an interesting conversation with a Gallic Navy destroyer captain today. Initially, for a good five minutes, no one was responding to my hails. I bet some people were asleep at the radio. Hah! Anyway, the captain finally responded and we have a nice chat. He seemed... open to my conversation that he's fighting for the wrong side, that he's fighting on the side who massacre innocent people. I don't think he realizes that all he is doing is defend the interests of the elite in Gallia. I don't know what the Gallic Navy has been feeding him, but apparently he thought that the Maquis are responsible for the lack of peace between Gallia and the rest of Sirius. I found that kind of preposterous actually - I mean, who's in government? Who's responsible for Gallia's foreign affairs? The Front would have done a much better job in those positions.

Anyway, in the end, the captain of this destroyer seemed like a bright individual. He used his brain unlike some of these Navy lemmings who just do as they're told. He seemed responsive to what I had to say, took one of our leaflets and we went our separate ways. Who knows, there may be potential in this individual!

[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Bonjour!
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Er, is there anyone there? Did the crew fall unconscious?
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: To the crew of Navy ship Tourville, please respond.
GNS-Tourville: S: Oh hey there Maquis.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Glad to see some people are alive in there.
GNS-Tourville: S: We do meet again eh?
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: I would say someone was asleep at the radio for at least five minutes.
GNS-Tourville: S: Last time you did a number on my ship.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Well I could have blown you up well within the five minutes.
GNS-Tourville: S: And i do see you have something of me in your hold!
GNS-Tourville: //mine*
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Really? Oh this one I picked up from the battlefield.
GNS-Tourville: S: You sure?
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: I know I said I was going to take yours, but I forgot.
GNS-Tourville: S: Hahaha
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Won't forget this time, but I don't think there's anything to take.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Assuming you blow up of course.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Say, why does the Navy hate the Maquis so much anyway?
GNS-Tourville: S:Well you ppl domake us hate you just take a look on your cargo full with lies about us.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: You call them lies, but what if they are truths?
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: What did we do to make you hate us?
GNS-Tourville: S: Some may be true but... ah.Lets just say there is in anything some litle truth.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: But why though? Because your politicians made you think we're just terrorists blowing up ships?
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: If that's the case, you would have been space dust and we wouldn't be talking.
GNS-Tourville: S: Yea but there is two side on a coin. You ppl do make sirius hate us and we cant make peace with them.
GNS-Tourville: S: So we cant have that so yea we do battle you!
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: But that doesn't make sense. You blame a movement who fights for the people...
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: but your politicians are the ones who deal with external affairs.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Have you asked them why there is no peace with the rest of Sirius?
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Which isn't exactly true. There is no longer a war with the Kusari Empire.
GNS-Tourville: S: You cant fight for the people if you kill them with viruses!
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Um, is that what they've been telling you??
GNS-Tourville: S: Yea they dont invade us now that the gets gotten shut down!
GNS-Tourville: //*Gates
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Have you heard of the Mazagran massacre?
GNS-Tourville: S: Yes that what we hear on the navy news.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: And, you don't see anything morally wrong with what the navy did?
GNS-Tourville: S: Yes i do but i am not the Fleetadmiral even so i cant do anything about orders maximum denie and get executed.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Sure, you're not the admiral, but you have a brain. And I can see the righteous in you.
GNS-Tourville: S:Also ... was that not ex councile ship?
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Mazagran was a depot.
GNS-Tourville: S: Not the base... The battleship.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: I don't know about the battleship, I was talking about the base.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: When the council joined the confederacy, they attempted to capsure Mazagran.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: //capture*
GNS-Tourville: S: It was destroyed by the battleship De Grase that was ex councile ship.
GNS-Tourville: S: Yes
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Yes the base was destroyed... after they gassed everyone inside.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Because they were unable to capture it the conventional way.
GNS-Tourville: S: Hmmm Gas? thats new to me was it not blown up by siege weaponry?
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: That's the sort of tactics that the Navy employed. Does that not morally trigger something inside of you?
GNS-Tourville: S: Well cant know anything but i believe you foe now
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Yes they gassed everyone first. Then it was blown up.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: They tried to blow it up first but failed.
GNS-Tourville: //for*
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Well knowing that, look at your uniform. Does it still make you proud?
GNS-Tourville: S: Well ... I dont know what to say
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Think about it. Think about what and who you are fighting for.
GNS-Tourville: S: I have someone who knows things but i cant contact him for now to ask about this.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: I hope this person doesn't have a hidden agenda or want to "persuade" you a certain way.
GNS-Tourville: S: No he is nothing of that sort but He is someone that knows someone ect. and can get some information.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: I know you are told that these are lies, but I'm offering you a copy of the leaflets I am carrying.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Maybe you will see where I am coming from, and what the navy has been telling you.
GNS-Tourville: S: Ok i look it over and maybe i can see some clarity.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: I hope you will give it some thought.
GNS-Tourville: S: Captain lets meet again in some days.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: And if you want more information or to discuss further, send me a comm.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: We have agents in Lorraine and elsewhere. I will receive it.
GNS-Tourville: S: First i do need to make a safe line for that comm
GNS-Tourville: S: OK captain i need to go now.
[FLG]VG-Robespierre: Jacobin: Very well, I wish you safe travels.

Maquisards, Royalist Slayers! It's hunting season! We are in the final stages of re-pressurizing our Flagship, the Mazagran. For that, we need a fucking shitload of superconductors we can't get without the help of Sirians.

The AWES have agreed to do this for a generous payment but you know how it goes - the Royalists might try to bother them.

Protect these Sirians, fuck up the Royalists, use any means necessary, be reckless as you know how to be reckless. Make them blow up by any means necessary and ask your ex-Council colleagues to drop their warships on their asses if need be. We need these deliveries.

The Mazagran will be our pride, let's get it done. It's Royalist Hunting Season.

That damn expensive Mazagran! We had to pay hundreds of millions to Sirians!

So I went on an expedition - Xeno Relics smuggling, it was a lot of fun!
