For those who did not understand the story of Zen character.
Zen is supposed to be dead.
He had fought Nomads at the edge of Kusari. Fought well and with honor.
His ship was almost destroyed. The remains were wreckage left in the battle.
It appears there was an Order fleet which was sent to investigate the Nomad activity in that area of Sirius.
When they arrived, however, there was only the Shinay shipwreck (Zen's VHF) inside a cloud made of high levels of Nomad radioactivity.
To them, it was a great surprise to discover signs of life coming from that ship.
Yes, Zen survived... but he was severely injured and ill due to the levels of contamination arround the area. The Order decided to bring Zen and his ship into the Battleship so they could make more tests in their base.
They were intrigued how he survived both the Nomads and also the high levels of radiation that contaminated his body.
Zen had a son, Takeshi, and an older brother, Hiroshi.
Takeshi only wanted to discover what happened to his father, no matter how dangerous the places he went or how far. That pulled Hiroshi's attentions, also a skilled and experienced Blood Dragon.
Hiroshi decided to take care of Takeshi.
Meanwhile, as the Yakuza clan grew among the Blood Dragons, Hiroshi felt the need of joining them so they could help him keep his nephew safe and also teach him the ways of the Blood Dragons.
