BACKGROUND

---

The recently established colony of Keijo (a.k.a. Saigon) is still fairly small. Its self-defence forces (SDF) are too small and cannot offer much fight in case of an attack. The decision to become a protectorate of Kusari logically ensued the colonisation by unaffiliated Kusari civilians. Despite the dispatch of imperial expeditionary forces under the command of Mitsuo Akihiro, the patrols in the area remain scarce not to aggravate the Kusari-GMG relations, and the forces present simply cannot cover every hole in the almost non-existent planetary defence. While the colony itself has little to offer to potential raiders, one should never underestimate the ingenuity of unlawful elements.

The Outcasts are no guests to the Sigmas and roam the systems of the cluster as if those were their own. Knowledge of jumpholes and nebulae allows the Outcast raiding parties to pop up out of nowhere or disappear without a trace. Exactly in such a way, out of nowhere, an Outcast raiding party managed to spot a breech in the planetary defence and decided to make a use of such an opportunity. The colony had little to offer to the raiders but potential captives to fuel the slave markets of Malta. Luckily for the citizens of Keijo, the raiding party of the Outcasts was spotted by a departing freelancer and a plea for help was broadcasted. The local SDF forces & the KNF, sympathetic freelancers, and Kusarian mercenaries in the area answered the call. Surprisingly to the both parties, the Corsairs who happen to frequent the Sigmas no less often than the Maltese, were also ready to support Keijo, whether out of spite towards their nemesis or in pursue of the recent agreement between New Tokyo and Crete. Will the poor people of Keijo fall prey to the cruel slavers, or will they be protected by a rag-tag group of protectors?

• Defeat the local defenders to kidnap the slaves (inRP)
  

Keijo Relief Forces:

• Repel the slavers and protect the citizens of Keijo.

Rules:

• Registration is mandatory. Only registered characters are allowed to participate. (Upon the request of MFE - MFE medics will be observing the event with a view to inRp provide medical assistance. However, [MFE]-tagged ships will not participate in the combat proper).
  
• Each side will have a freighter: the Outcasts to kidnap slaves; the SDF - to return possible abductees after the fight.
  
• Respawns, planet/sundiving, cloak using during combat, and running from the battlefield are forbidden actions. Once you wiped out - you are dead.
  
• Keep it respectful and civil. Keep verbal jabs within RP.
  
• Have fun!
  

RP Notes:

• PvP results can have limited RP impact on players' RP in the area.
  
• If you want to represent inRP Keijo SDF - just create an SDF- tagged FL ID ship, likely with some Kusarian name.
  
• Characters created for this event as SDF (SDF- tagged) will be further on recognised inRP by Keijo and Kusari as such regardless of membership in Keijo unofficial faction (unless the participant in question expressed a desire not to).
  
• Participation of characters in this event will generally be inRP known to the public unless a participants asks to remain unknown. In case of the latter - please, contact me after the event (does not apply to the RP of the other participants who might mention you).
  
• This event is made by the players for the players with the purpose to increase factions' activity in the region and promote players' roleplay.
  

OUTCOME

---

Regardless of the outcome, the story will be covered by AHN with mentioning the participants and their accomplishments + flavour depending on the outcome.

Outcasts Victory

• A group of civilians from Keijo is successfully enslaved by the Outcasts and delivered to Malta.
  
• Increase of Maltese influence in the region (inRP fear).
  
• Keijo's security is compromised. This causes tensions with Kusari unable to provide protection.
  
• The development of Keijo slows down (if not abandoned altogether).
  
• Possible increase of the reliance on mercenaries and SDF by Keijo.
  
• + the OC factions are invited to provide inRP and other benefits to their participants/winners.
  

Keijo Relief Forces Victory

• Outcasts raiders are repelled and civilians are protected.
  
• Increase of trust towards the KNF (& the Corsairs if the latter participate)
  
• Possible warming up of Crete-New Tokyo relations depending on the degree of Corsairs' contribution.
  
• Promotion of the heroes of the battle (inRP news Interview, use of nickname (e.g. "Slavers' Bane") in communications & other references, inRP + credit reward).
  
• The Republic of Keijo continues its development unhindered.
  
• + the defenders' factions involved are invited to provide inRP and other benefits to their participants/winners.
