Howdy y'all, I am having a hard time getting into the server as I immediately disconnect upon attempting to join. I'm not sure why this is the case, after googling the message in the Discovery context it seems most of the folks who posted about this preceding me have been banned. I don't think I am under this category as I might've played discovery for a couple of months like 13 years ago on a different computer, in a different country, on a different freelancer install. Would be cool to get this resolved as I am itching for some old school Freelancer RP.

'precciate y'all.

I can help out with basic troubleshooting but some of the more tech saavy folks here can be a better assist. Your problem is one that most people have, sometimes a few times upon initially logging in. If you are using an older account with an older ship, try making a new character and launching. If that doesn't work, try these in order:

1. Try again. Try about half a dozen times. If you continue to get the box...
2. Reinstall Freelancer and Discovery. Make sure you follow the steps closely in the youtube tutorial (checking legacy options etc...)
3. Check for any updates to your OS. If still no, review your anti-virus software and add Discovery as a whitelist or exception option. If you're feeling brave, you could try to disable firewalls and anti-virus entirely to see if that helps.

If those don't help, check back here as I'm sure more options will be available to you. All the best.

It ain't about what you are capable of, it's about what you're willing to do.

Good evening.

Having looked at the Logs, it would appear that your AV/Firewall etc has blocked some files.

So a new install would be advantageous, once you have sorted out the above.

Unfortunately, messing with firewall settings and reinstall was not a success.
