Because it counts as exploiting, and Disco has sanctioned people as far back as 2013 for cheating and exploits? You don't need to list every exploit to tell what is or what is not intended game function that gives great advantage

Then don't list any exploits to begin with. You should not have it half and half, where part of the rules are written and another part unwritten, passed on from mouth to mouth or found out via trial and error.

Newer players weren't aware of it, though the circumstances around the announcement and the player sanctioning was kinda backwards iirc, where one thing should have been the announcement and the other a sanction.

Yeah it was a bit odd for that sanction to have been put out but im having a hard time grasping that we have had such an influx of newer players that they just didnt know. But I guess its a good thing at the same time? Not sure.

i think it goes without saying you should provide some sort of evidence if youre going to FR5 factions and they ask for said evidence.

otherwise just put it in the rephack change in the config and announce it for next restart

Sanctions won’t go through unless sufficient evidence is provided of the report. You were there for the entire incident, yep, but the administration was not. All we have to go by is what you give us. Is that enough?

Depends on what you're reporting.

If it's, for example, a no rp engagement, you're probably going to need a video of the whole encounter, since it will be very difficult to prove otherwise that it was the other party that initiated the engagement.

If it's someone oorp flaming, or using the wrong ID, you don't even really need a screenshot since we can easily check these things on our end.

a long while ago I sent a VR about engagement without prior roleplay where I was flying a scanner drone and someone starts shooting as soon as they see me

it is literally impossible for me to start the engagement

dude wasn't warned or sanctioned to this day, which really blurs the definition of "enough evidence"
