Yeah, I kinda plan to start a freelancer IDed faction for the newer guys, aimed at RP and trading, one of my goal being to help them onboard.

If you have thoughts on this, or other things we could do to ease new players into the game and community, let us know here.
I'll try and finish the compilation of about 20 different things staff could do, and could have done a decade ago, which has been brought up well over a 100 times by me and numerous other people, which staff have stubbornly refused to do mainly for personal ego issues, providing brilliant reasons like "its an old game why bother" and "but lazy players wont read it anyway" and "all we can really do it hope that random people on the internet will just be more excellent to each other".
Hopefully staff wont put more work into finding excuses not to do anything but the tiniest bare minimum, than it would take to do the whole thing, or allow someone else to do it.
This would be epic actually - there's absolutely no need for staff to take players to bastille unless they keep ignoring things. To have an in RP freelancer faction that is staff filled oorp + helpers in who play the game but are there to help out would be cool. They could even get some rewards and such for their time :]

The Angels used to exist. They fit the description. It has been since abandoned by said staff for reasons unknown, but we can guess.

Again.
How about you put some brakes on that attitude? Want to make a list? Then how about you get to it ? Your passive-agressive post helps no one.

Oh, you misunderstood. Not a staff faction. Your classic Unofficial Faction, just with one of it's goals would be to take in newer players and help them develop some RP and Discovery skills.

Yes that's what I mean, normal faction, but it'd be known they are helpers, would have staff members in hopefully without staff privileges - just helping out via text

Karlotta actually made a list - several of them, actually.

Well, where is it? If they have a list of things to help with oboarding, why not post it instead of that passive agressive bull ?

Some of it is in my signature.
I'm aggressive because there have been dozens of these threads asking for ideas and hundreds more providing very good ideas, but staff always ends up doing nothing, giving no reason, except sometimes some logical fallacy as an excuse not to do it, or saying they'll do it and then they don't. And it's NOT a matter of work load, given that there were several people willing to do 100% of the work. It's ALWAYS a matter or egos and circle jerks.
