why can Barge only mount BC Shield?

why does a Barge say it can use a Battleship Shield and can only mount a BC Shield at best? when a BB shield was mounted and was shot away?
Also the BC shield takes up 65 Cargo when the BB shield took up Zero cargo?

when I select a BB Shield it says my ship does not have a hardpoint to mount this Item!

It can mount a slightly silly variety of shield classes, but the highest shield class it has access to is hp_freighter_shield_special_7, which is the Heavy Battleship Shield (the same type that goes on Rheinland Battleships and such).

So it can only mount the strongest shield in the game, I guess.

Not that it matters over all, but it used to take up 100 cargo for the BS shield.

Just /conn and buy the shield you want.

I'd like to throw in my two cents:

A (heavy) battleship shield could be considered as military equipment inRP. As house laws restrict own/foreign military equipment within the respective house, you could face consequences.

Oh no, 100 of my 30,000 cargo space. That 0.33% cargo space is really too precious to squander on a shield.

While that's certainly an interesting interpretation of house laws, the Barge is supposed to operate in deep space anyway.

I could not mount any BB shield from Frankfurt - Battleship Schwerin, But Went to conn and mounted the class 7, thanks so much guys for the help
and it does take up 100 Cargo BTW
