Ohh yes please. I love a good bottle of whine.

But seriously. I really don't mind losing a fight, what I do mind is people doing things they -know- to be unfair. For instance engaging people who can only fly fighters with something so epicly unbalenced against fighters. Yes a missile GB does suck vs other caps, but bloody hell does it rape fighters, and takes little to no skill to kill three eagles with one.

Especialy since we had a comparativly new recruit to the XA who was flying a Hawk... (Missile GB, a liberator (zapp) and a Ravon's Claw vs three Eagles, a Hawk and me in a Crow)

It ruins the game for people, and one of the things this community prides itself on is "having fun, but making sure everyone else is having as much fun as you".

In my defense, I told the GB not to shoot the Hawk as I engaged it in my Patriot, but then switched to my Liberator (with your consent) when the Hawk was down.

That is the point yes.

Missiles are not overpowered much if you have only two.

They are overpowered like nothing else if you have more.
1st salvo - whole shield
2nd salvo (or actually you need just 2 missiles) - ship destroyed

Now it's all nice with CMs... except that you run out really soon

This is obviously in response to the unlawfuls completely unfair spammage of fighters and bombers. Faced with the dilemma of how to effectively combat this problem (most notably the HF's ability to chew an entire fleet of caps up and spit them out using nothing but 2 Sabres and a bomber or two, or the XA's policy of every member having a bomber), instead of turning to fighters of their own, they decided to adopt anti-fighter loadouts. The result? The HF has two battleships in NY, and could get a third. Obviously its a problem of escalating firepower (I come in a Sabre, I'm met by a cruiser and 2 gunboats, then an HF Spyglass comes out of nowhere), and should be adressed at its core: we (the unlawfuls) are mostly fighter or bomber jocks. If the indy caps (and faction caps too!) would get into a Guardian or what have you, this might just end. Come on, Liberty has the most ships to chose from of any house (4 - 4! - VHFs).

I hope you enjoyed the bit of satire at the beginning, sorry it turned into a semi-off-topic rant...

You know Zapp I did not wanted to talk about it except with Razr, but this just calls for it.

Right now it actually is completely unfair spammage.

Liberty folks (talking about LN and LSF) come lately almost only in fighters.
They use their own (rather average) fighters with Vengeances and Magma Hammers (which both suck in their own way).

And what does "the fair HF" bring?

Sabres - the most unbalanced VHF right now... but ok it's perfectly RP to do that... so let's see what guns they use:

ohhh mostly just Krakens which happend to be by far the best guns in game... or... let's see

Blood Dragon fighter (I have also seen a BD bomber once), loaded with Imp. Debs, 4 Krakens and Inferno.

And what's more, some people ^^ come and brag how great they are shooting down Avengers and Guardians with Vengeances mounted.:nono:

Sorry but I don't think that you should use whatever you can get your hands on "because those capwhores deserve it".
Liberty factions were pointed at for using Buckshots (and yes I was one of those that did that). Now they went to use their own guns (which are the 2 worst guns for use on rather slow VHFs in game)

Hellfuries are worse than Krakens yes. But not so bad to be useless.

Now maybe it's time for the unlawful factions to "play fair".

Then you HF boys can take the Carrier, the Dreadnought and the Spyglass out for a spin without so much as coughing when the gunboats turn up.

I also know about this problem, but instead of moaning about it (rightfully so, though, its definately unfair), train your dodging so you become like Terrance. He managed to force a duel once I saw because 4 missile gunboats and 5 fighters couldnt take his shield >_>. And he managed to heavily damage some gunboats by circling the missouri too... All of that in a Sabre.

Just think of it as a training excersise.:)

If we're going to be pointing fingers, doesn't your LH use Krakens, Mjolnir? Also, let's talk about fair when we're outnumbered 10-to-1; even with the load-out/ship difference, that's a big thing. And I have my own Guardian - it's my favorite ship. I actually like it better than my Sabre.

This is something I wanted to address in a HF feedback thread, but I couldn't find any.
If HF is allowed to use Liberty capital ships.. How come they can use Hacker and Outcast caps as well?

On topic, I know the devastating power of such gunboat. Even 2 bombers can have a LOT of trouble with it.
Bombers are even harder for dodging missiles, even from behind.
4-5 missiles and you'r left with nothing but SN.

I see Jinx's point, but these are Xenos we'r talking about. They can't counter it with capital ships.

And McNeo, Sabre is probably the only ship that can dodge so many people. I'v done it as well. It's amazing if used properly.
Missiles are almost useless against it, since it changes direction (with it's strafe) so fast that it looks like lagging.

Ahh missile spamming isn't too bad. I just know to run like heck if it happens and keep an eye out for that ship. Next time I am on I just bust out the ol GS and teach em a bit about why a balenced loadout is important.

my LH assassin has exactly TWO Krakens, out of the 5 guns on it yes.
My 5 other (or 3 + 2 shared) characters have... ohh wait... ONE Kraken MK I - because there are no lvl 8 guns for hackers.
That's 2 Kraken II, 1 Kraken I out of... let's see... 26 guns.

If you so much want to know at one point some LH wanted to get two Catamarans (when we got BC spammed tons), ask people that know what was my reaction to that.

How does that matter?

You go and attack Liberty. That's like saying it's ok I get Kushan VHF, mount tizona turrets on it and go to Alpha. OR get a 6 missile GB and head to Ouray alone.

Yes really. I love my Guardian, more than my Sabre. I just have... 4 Sabres, to the one Guardian, and I've always flown the Sabres. The Guardian is an amazing ship, I don't see why the LN/LSF can blame losing to it. Their guns suck, yes, but that is an amazing fighter. Just ask Virus;)
