More cruise speed for Barge

I was flying my barge today Since it can't take a trade lane anymore, I was wondering if it isn't time we give the barge a little more cruise speed like 200 ?

A 5k has 1/6th the cargo capacity of a Barge.
But it's only 3.5x as fast.
Over extended distances, when the long charge time loses importance, the Barge is already much more efficient than a 5k. Not to mention on one-way trips when it can use a jump drive.

The barge was nerfed to the point that some can't even use the ship anymore (after spending 15 billion credits on it). The ship can't even pass through some systems as the asteroids cause the ship to get stuck whereas it could have taken a trade lane. This has rendered some routes unserviceable, including supply routes for POBs. I recommended at the very least make the ship no-clip to offset this, but any feedback provided by the community has either been ignored or skirted. As a result, some have left the community.

If you can find a way to talk sense to those who can make the change, I will gladly give you all of my networth in Dosco. Until then, I wouldn't place any faith that this thread will even get glanced at.

Why would you think much wouldn't happen Lucas?

I'd love to see a bit more speed on the barge, be worth the while bringing
one out & painting go-faster stripes on instead of sitting not worth the effort.

no good barge a while back with no joy.

Would be great if we will get better cruise speed like 200-250 and also fair for those who really like to fly them. Most of players don't even use them since the last update and if you don't have a pob then the barge is a useless tool.

Docking bay and jump drivers are not needed on barge it's a transporter they can be removed and give it more cruise speed in return .
