The station graciously opens its doors to the public, granting access to all but Section Delta, housing our highly secure bio-laboratories, which is exclusively accessible to authorized personnel and permitted students. All visitors are kindly requested to proceed to the reception area to acquire a digital identification. Please note that access to specific zones beyond regular operating hours may be restricted to authorized personnel and enrolled students.

Our cafeteria, a bustling hub, operates around the clock and offers direct access from the docking areas, following a security checkpoint. This vibrant space buzzes with the presence of students, educators, and visitors alike, serving a diverse selection of hot and cold meals throughout the day. We must emphasize that no sidearms or weapons of any kind are permitted within the station. Kindly stow all weapons in your personal vessel or report to the designated red security zone for secure storage and retrieval upon your departure. Medical Doctorate program (MD) 48 months, 150.000 SC

M.D. programs, commonly referred to as medical school programs, are 4-year programs for college or university graduates who hope to become physicians. During their first two years, students cover topics in cellular biology, neurology and organic chemistry. In doing so, they learn how the sciences apply to medical issues. During this phase of medical school, much of the learning is divided between classroom and laboratory study. The first portion of the Sirius Medical Licensing Examination (SMLE) may be taken after the second year of medical school.

In the program's second half, future physicians begin rotations. During these last two years, students work in MFE hospitals and clinics, where they learn under the direction of practicing physicians. Students rotate through different areas of hospitals as they study pediatrics, gerontology, trauma care and other disciplines. The second portion of the SMLE may be completed during the fourth year.

To gain admittance, students must complete an undergraduate degree program. Many future medical students choose to study biology or chemistry in college, though there is no set major for aspiring physicians. Regardless of undergraduate degree choice, all pre-med students must complete a core list of science classes including:

Dental Doctorate Program (DDS) 48 months, 125.000 SC

D.D.S. programs, commonly referred to as dental school programs, are 4-year programs for college or university graduates who aspire to become dentists. The first two years of the program focus on foundational knowledge in oral biology, anatomy, physiology, and dental materials. Students learn how these sciences apply to dental health and diseases. This phase combines classroom instruction with hands-on laboratory work, where students practice basic procedures such as cavity preparation, dental impressions, and crown fabrication. The first portion of the Sirius Dental Licensing Examination (SDLE) may be taken after completing the second year.

During the program's final two years, students engage in clinical rotations. Under the supervision of licensed dentists, they gain hands-on experience diagnosing and treating patients in real-world settings. Rotations cover various areas of dentistry, including orthodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery. During this phase, students refine their technical skills and develop patient communication techniques. The second portion of the SDLE is typically completed in the fourth year.

Admission to a D.D.S. program requires completion of an undergraduate degree program. While many aspiring dentists major in biology, chemistry, or health sciences, there is no mandatory field of study. However, all pre-dental students must complete a core curriculum in sciences that typically includes:

As a MedCentre manager you manage how resources in the form of competence, knowledge, material and other assets can best be used and developed to improve human health. Your aim is to develop new knowledge through interaction with your subordinates and fruitful meetings between theory and practice.

To gain admittance, students must have completed the Medior MedCenter Management (MMM) program.

Psychology Masters Program (PMP, MSc) 24 months, 100.000 SC

The two year master’s programme in Psychology offers five clinical specializations that qualify students for the post-master training programme in Mental Health Care psychology. These are Child and Adolescent Psychology, School Psychology, Health and Medical Psychology, Clinical Psychology, and Clinical Neuropsychology.

Medior MedCentre Management (MMM, BSc) 10 months, 65.000 SC

MCM offers education to health care professionals who carry out research to support a science based management practice in health care. As a Medior MedCentre manager you manage your med-bay, oversee purchase and invoice procedures as well as assist and report to the senior manager. Your aim is to develop new knowledge through interaction with your subordinates and fruitful meetings between theory and practice.

The Medior MedCenter Management (MMM) program is a prerequisite for the Senior MedCentre Management (SMM) course.

Senior Ship Counselor (CSC, BSc) 12 months, 65.000 SC

With an MFA counselling and psychology education, you will be confident in joining organizations of any scale and specialization. You can also set up your own practice in time.

Senior Ship Medic (SSM, BSc) 12 months, 50.000 SC

As a Senior Ship Medic you are the eyes and ears of the Chief Medical Officer as well as the manager and confidant of the medical personnel onboard a vessel or a station.

In this position you get the best of both the medical management side yet still have hands-on experience when it comes down to treating patients and providing care to those in need.

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) 6 months, 30.000 SC

This career path would allow you to act in an administrative and active position within a medical setting. Chief medical officers oversee staff and programs aboard a vessel or on a station. This allows for greater training of employees as well as better care to be accessed by the public. As an executive position, this job would include creating goals and visions for the facility as well as managing existing courses of action.

Along with staff management, the chief medical officer is also responsible for looking at labor and funding, to streamline these resources for the greater benefit of the public. Strategy examination and the use of business partnerships play a large role in this job, as they are tools which allow the facility to run more smoothly. The creation of clinical programs for community outreach is also a focus for the chief medical officer.

The following responsibilities are part of the expectations of a chief medical officer:

• Offering clinical guidance and support to staff and medical team members.
  
• Staying current with new modes of healthcare delivery and innovating business and healthcare strategies.

Junior Ship Medic (JSM) 8 months, 35.000 SC

As a Junior Ship Medic you are the eyes and ears of the Senior Ship Medic and apart from participating in various medical duties aboard you will also be acting as a shift or duty lead.

This position is a perfect stepping stone for those pursuing a career as a Senior Ship Medic (SSM) or any other career path in mid-level medical management.

To gain admittance, the applicant must have at least the Registered Nurse 2 (RN-2) level or similar medical training with at least 1 year experience.

Advanced-level Medical Training Course (AMTC) 6-days, 10.000 SC (including food and lodging)

During this course you will be diving headfirst into the real life and work onboard a functional hospital vessel. You will be joining the MFE medical experts on their shifts as they treat patients, address various illnesses and conduct research into that which will help those in need.

After two days on our hospital ship, the St. Agatha, you will disembark on our Baffin research station where our research team will guide you through the various aspects of research into a multitude of illnesses. Your 2-day stay at this station will be divided into one day in the classroom and one day doing hands-on research alongside our team.

The fifth day you will spend at the Omicron-Theta General-B hospital. Here you will spend half a day in class after which each of you will be assigned to a station physician. You will once more be in charge of the rounds and again have actual contact and be in charge of some of our patients. The last day you will be spending on the Med Force Academy in Omicron-Theta.

Please note that medical knowledge is mandatory for partaking on this course. As this is NOT an entry level course we kindly ask all those who do not have a medical profession to apply for our 'Entry-Level Medical Course' prior to signing up for this course.

Entry-level Medical Training Course (EMTC) 2-days, free of charge (course hosted 4 times a year)

On this 2 day course, unique in the sector, our medical experts will teach you all about human physiology and emergency medical care and we will also address battlefield trauma and immunology.

Participation is free of charge and drinks, snacks and lunches are provided during the course. Accommodation is up to the attendees. When participating in this 2-day course we expect an honest and sincere commitment to the wellbeing of those in need of medical care. This is an entry-level course yet even when you are an experienced healthcare worker you can benefit from this so we do invite you to sign up.

Registered Nurse level 1 (RN-1) 24 months, 97.500 SC

Many entry-level registered nursing jobs, applicants need at least a diploma from a 1-2 year registered nurse training program accredited by the Sirius League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (SLNAC). However, many employers prefer applicants with an associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing, along with planetary and state licenses to practice as an RN. Some RNs may specialize in an area such as pediatrics, labor and delivery, oncology or surgery.

As part of their RN-1 nurse training requirements, students generally spend time in clinical settings during the last year of a 2-year nursing program, where they apply their knowledge. These programs provide on-the-job training for registered nurses, allowing them to demonstrate effective communications skills with patients and physicians, and also to develop effective nursing interventions. Students enrolled in a bachelor's degree program take courses in:

Rescue and Paramedic courses:

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) 12 months, 60.000 SC

Emergency medical technicians (EMTs) work in a variety of capacities, including providing immediate medical treatment for sick and injured people in emergency situations and transporting patients to and from medical facilities across Sirius.

Emergency medical technicians respond to mayday calls and medical emergencies. EMTs transport patients to hospitals, perform basic medical tasks, and act as first responders. These professionals must work well under pressure to make life-saving decisions in high-stress environments.

EMTs work closely with other medical professionals, including paramedics, firefighters and law-enforcement.

The responsibilities of an EMT depend on the professional's education and training. Some first responders only administer basic care, while EMTs with more training can perform more complex medical procedures in the field and on the way to the hospital.

Paramedic 16 months, 75.000 SC

Paramedics provide advanced medical care to patients in the field, including administering medication, inserting IVs, resuscitating patients, and providing breathing support using tubes and ventilation devices.
In addition to working for employers that hire EMTs, paramedics can work in space and air ambulances and for other advanced emergency services. Paramedics must complete 1,200 to 1,800 hours of training to qualify for certification.

Medical Security training:

Tactical Medic Course (TMC) 10 months, 60.000 SC

The Tactical Medic course is intended for non-medical personnel who work in potentially hazardous environments. The target group includes members of special police units, intervention units and bodyguards.

When an injury is sustained, the victim is reliant on self-help for at least fifteen minutes, and it is often not enough to have knowledge of first aid protocols and related skills. Doctors and ambulance paramedics are usually not trained to carry out their work under violent circumstances which means that the tactical operative’s access to adequate medical treatment of life-threatening injuries is likely to be delayed.

The objective of the Tactical Medic course is to optimize the tactical operative’s ability to perform pre-hospitalization procedures. The task of the Tactical Medic is to diagnose and treat life-threatening injuries during the ‘golden hour’ when doctors or ambulance paramedics are unavailable to provide treatment.

The course is based on the international ABCD doctrine, supplemented with components of the military TC3 protocol (Tactical Combat Casualty Care). Course participants are taught the principles of anatomy, physiology and pathology. This improves their ability to apply the ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) trauma protocols developed to perform life-saving procedures on location.

To gain admittance, the applicant must have at least 6 months experience in a combat position.

Medical Security Manager (MSM) 6 months, 35.000 SC

The Medical Security Management training covers the principles of security management and the operations involved to protect a medical business and its assets. It provides knowledge of the principles of loss and decision making within the security environment on a vessel or medical station, as well as an overview of the factors that form a modern security management team.

To gain admittance, the applicant must have at least 2 years experience on the MST-1 level or similar training with at least 2 years experience.

Medical Security Training level 1 (MST-1) 3 months, 25.000 SC

This training is a short mid-level career upgrade from the Medical Security Training level 2 (MST-2). It prepares the security officer (student) for more team management as well as duty planning and station manager positions. The MST-1 is a must-have for anyone pursuing a career in medical security or willing to advance towards a Medical Security Manager (MSM) position.

Medical Security Training level 2 (MST-2) 6 months, 35.000 SC

Hospitals and medical centers can be a big market for those outside the Healthcare arena. One area of need: qualified security officers. Hospitals are, after all, large complexes that have steady streams of visitors and activity; they have a clientele that is often frightened and sometimes inebriated, disorderly, or even violent. Ultimately there is a higher than average need for order in a Healthcare setting as hospital corridors enclose materials and equipment that can’t be disturbed, areas that can’t be accessed… and more than their share of hazardous materials.

When a person does become potentially combative, the security officer will need to consider factors such as age and condition. A security position will entail some paperwork. There may be safety/ security checklists and daily written reports as well as incident logs.

Hospital and med-center positions frequently combine security and dispatch. The employee may perform some duties that are not truly security, for example, patient escort or monitoring of basic non-security equipment (for example, thermostats).

Transport Medical Training:

Transport Medical Official (TMO) 2 months, 20.000 SC (10 applicants minimum)

A special course for transportation crews. In this course we will teach you emergency procedures (including triage) and help you set up medical protocols for those deep space missions. Further more, we broaden your knowledge into training your crew and ensure your vessel and its crew can endure medical issues. This course is also a prelude to other medical courses.

During the 2-months training the participants will be trained in:

- Minor medical care
- Minor trauma care
- Medical related transportation safety
- Inter-house medical standards
- Emergency medical procedures
- General health and safety protocols

A one time 15.000 SC fee is asked for an official NeuralNet certificate document for any course and training provided by Med Force Academy which has been successfully concluded by the student.
