I have a Retrofit transport and I want to lean hard on the old train engine locomotive look, with a lots of smoke and steam.
I'm looking for a heavy transport engine that pollutes a lot, I mean, something that makes a lot of smoke like the Rheinland engines, but in shades of yellow or brown, maybe even white or gray.
At the moment I'm using the CNO-C engine (the Council/Maquis one) but the transport version doesn't leave that trail of clouds at cruise speed like the fighters version, and at normal speed it doesn't make much smoke... I don't mind putting the Rheinland's engine back in because the amount of smoke it produces at normal speed makes up for the lack of smoke at cruise, it's just a shame that it's green.
I know The Core's engines leave a nice smoke trail, but they're blue.
What are the most "polluting" engines in Sirius? Where are the spaceship coal engines? Ahaha
Thanks in advance!

Coalition engines tend to appear as a plume of fire from a welding torch more than a coal engine. But if there are stinkier plumes I'd be glad to know.
Small freighter with advanced coalition engine:

Border world train with coalition engine appears more like.. a ship on fire.

Unfortunately there is no long trail of smoke.

Random fun fact: Playing coalition destroyer, every battle it gets hit by at least a dozen cruise disruptors for the plume of flames out of that afterburner seems to appear as if the destroyer just gone into cruise mode.

Extra edit note: having bought an engine just to try it out, and post screenshot to let OP know.
I returned to mention:
Coalition transport engine is like

The Omega engine series are pretty gassy but er... Only for snubs atm. I think you're looking for a transport one, right?

Coalition, Aux, Order, Core all have the giant 'bright' emission - but are different colours, same animation style with different textures.

Sorry for taking so long to respond, I was tracking all the suggested engines all over Sirius, thanks for all your suggestions!
Here are the results:

Coalition
[Image: t6KC9lxh.png]

Auxesia
[Image: bvZwzeRh.png]

Rheinland
[Image: vBkH9aih.png]

Council
[Image: FzfAkCqh.png]

The Core

The Order

-----

Now I'm undecided between the Auxesia and Coalition engines.
The Auxesia engine makes a lot of smoke at both speeds.
The Coalition engine does makes less smoke at normal speed than Auxesia, but still makes some nice smoke, and the red flame goes really well with this small red ship detail, also it's COALition ahahah

Thanks!

Yes please! I think that the Rhienland engines effect would work good for the Junkers, just in a yellow to greyish smoke (like the smoke color coming out from the Retrofit Transport ship top) instead of green, and cruise speed could also leave a trail of gray smoke like the cruise Core or puffs of smoke like the Council ones (fighters). Also it's time to allow the Pilgrim Liner to swap engines too ahah

No doubts in the future POBs will be building engines with no speed advantage to any other
But with noxious black plume stretching out 10K behind the ship in cruise.
An item worth a 100m investment

I had an SRP many years ago that was a 5k Xeno transport with a smog cloud around it, probably the most environmentally unfriendly ship in Sirius at the time or ever since.

What you're asking for is do-able, it's not an engine but an added effect. See the link below, and if you like it try and do an SRP for it as I did.

Very interesting, I didn't know it was possible. However perhaps it is too much smoke for a simple steam locomotive (?) looks sick though, might think about it, ths for the info

Also I just saw a Junker player with a Pilgrim Liner with coalition engines, I asked how did he swaped the engines since liners don't have that option, he said he had bought the liner from the Coalition. So I went there to try it for myself, but it didn't work, still got civillian engines, I even changed the ID to Coalition but no new engine, any ideas?
