My friend ricky tanner and i were engaging some liberty fighters in the jersey debris field, only one of them, Eddy.Looper, was lagging terribly, and it wasnt the server lag because everyone else was fine and the yellow lag indicator did not come up once during the fight. We fought for about 20 minutes with this lagging whore and this gave liberty enough time to bring a battlecruiser to make us retreat, talk about unfair

due to the pvp rules, we couldnt run or we would have to leave the system, but we couldnt shoot him down, so it was impossible for us to win that battle

this is not the first instance that this has happened to me and my rogue friends

i purpose a player ping limit or something to regulate the lag and make it possible to have pvp battles

lagging whore - haha.. thats new.. more whores ( sorry, couldn t resist )

lagging happens, don t blame the people for it, - you don t know if its intentional ( download managers or so ) or not intentional ( bad isp ) .... and you can hardly blame someone who lags unintentionally, can you?

if it was no fun - why did you not just retreat?

because then i wouldve had to leave the system

and nobody lags that bad because of ISP, he was either running too many programs, or he needs to turn his graphics down

thats up to you of course, but i d consider it a small price for a combat that is no fun as it seems. - lagging can happen anyone at any time. - you could have left and PMed the opponents ( in a polite and respectful tone of course ) - by the rules, you gotto leave the system... but leaving when you cannot win is sort of roleplay.

thats a problem we sometimes find when fights take too long. - players complain that it takes so long for fighters to kill each other when they are both equally highly skilled. - yet, so rarely, any of them would retreat, even if its no fun at all anymore to fight - a bit of a puzzlement to me.

I doubt the admins are going to ban people because they lag. We all want to have fun here, and if you insist on getting "a kill", do it somewhere else if the person your figthing is lagging. And, if you love the system -so- much you want to stay in it. Don't pvp to begin with, since anything might happen.

I heard the grumbling from across the system. Saw the Battlecruiser leaving the Norfolk as I was trying to swat downa slipstream, forced to leave from a friendly rogue Snova.

Intentional lag is a big annoyance, I saw the server going Yellow lag a lot my end.

If the lag is bad now, the SBRCC is going to murder the server.

that's one point, what about the fact that your mate had to cruise to catch up 11 times to try and kill me? yes i got screen shots, yes Ive done the deed, yes this is a public question, because if you know how to fly a lib rogue GB, you would know the rules well enough.

you know the rules about PVP battles, but kindly overlooked the rule about cruising to catch up. smooth:dry:

exile thats awfully easy for you to say,its probably never happened to you, im a pirate my duty to rp is to engage lawfulls i had no idea what wouldve happened

and for frozen, you may have noticed that i was 10k away from my friend when he engaged you, i had no idea what he was doing, so dont blame me for his actions

I'm sorry but that's both naive and arrogant, its happened to all of us. Lag happens. It can ruin good RP, good PvP and anything else you can imagine.

Honestly, never happened to Exile? I'm chuckling over that one.

Deluca, that made me laugh.

I am lag incarnate. Believe me. I've fought people who lagged, while i was lagging myself and without it. What did i do? I entered an OOC conversation with the person(s) who i was figthing with. Explained everything to them, et voila. No harm done, no forum whining needed.

As for the duty part. You RP, you make your own duty. You can change your own duty. And before you go "that's easy to say, your no pirate" thank the gods and goddesses that i am. So i know how that is too.
