pro tip - mount a sunwreath on your hegemon. they're good at popping fragments open

as a side note, I personally think that NuMining is more engaging and faster. I'm having way more fun with it than just sitting and mindlessly spamming rightclick

That is why we should keep both methods. Thanks for the sunwreath idea.

Old mining is supported by fields like Copper, Silver etc if you want to invest your time in that.

Generally only a few people don't like the new mining, and its overall more profitable because of the tuning it has. Most of all it's better to approach solo. Gold, Platinum and Deuterium are all new mining system and will not have old bits of the field around it.

If you somehow mine 3x slower in the new mining system then there is something wrong with what you are doing, but also bare in mind that this system is supposed to make mining a little longer but the HRC base price increased with that making it more valuable.

Only thing wrong with the new mining is the density of asteroids that are constantly in the way, and this problem is not solved yet. But I agree with you that mining is supposed to be slower now. But it would be more fun if we could keep BOTH methods in every field.

Looks like the Taureau Gallic Frigate got it's bats/bots capacity adjusted too; Logged in and Autobuy sold some bots and bought bats.
New capacity appears to be 275 Nanobots, 850 Batteries.

Pretty sure all transports had their nano's nerfed, because reasons?

Nanobots are dependent on base hull and were adjusted by the same % as the armor and base hull. Nothing changed effectively.

Asteroids are not a problem to be solved, it is intended. If you don't like the Hegemon the new Archon miner is designed for this, meant to be a bit smaller and nimble to go around asteroids better.

That being said, Hegemon works perfectly fine with Gold, I have made 150m+ on my Hegemon and the asteroids really are not that big of a deal you just have to work around them. If you don't like them it's fine, but it's certainly not a problem.

Before today, the Taureau had 555 Nanobots and "0" Shield batteries. It was uh, unique in that regard. Now it can actually put a Positron to use, potentially.

Thanks for the tip with the Archon, will definitely try that one. But my problem is not the Gold-asteroid size. My humble skills are completely sufficient to circle them in a Hegemon like a nimble bee, but the density of stuff that is simply in the way (aka the rest of the asteroids). No matter how I strafe, around my targets and moving between targets, it is a nightmare. But we had this conversation before, so let's keep it at that. However, I mined Niobium this morning and the efficiency and speed of conventional mining is unmatched and I still mourn for what I lost in Dublin...
