Greetings,

Jonathan Cayran reporting.

On the Trading Business:

External Contracts: No significant updates; Weiss continues to take its sweet time with matters at hand.
Exports: The iridium trade remains highly profitable, even in the presence of our amiable competitors.
Miscellaneous: The IMG has recently inaugurated a new base near Freeport 14. It serves as a pragmatic and cost-efficient staging point for transporting copper back to the Order and the Livadia shipyard.

Now on our riveting neighbors.

The Brotherhood:
To be candid, I harbored some initial reservations, but much like in days past, these Corsairs have conducted themselves with far more decorum than their counterparts. Time has certainly passed since my first visit to Freeport 9, twelve years ago, and they have matured remarkably. Should the need arise to engage with the Corsair Empire, I would prioritize their faction.
The Corsair I encountered near the Order's primary shipyard was courteous enough to extend a conversation and offer an escort back to Theta. Regrettably, my memory fails me when it comes to recalling his name, though he was a distinguished individual, particularly in the bomber he piloted. Wait, the ship name is Busardo!

Sails:
In all honesty, TBH advises us to maintain a cautious distance from the Sails. They are young, unstable, and exhibit a level of violence that even the Corsairs find troubling.

DTR:
Now, to the more entertaining part of the report. As I was en route to secure a water shipment at Freeport 9, I may have been inadvertently observed at the docking bay. Despite their apparent inebriation and disarray—sufficient to suggest they were in no condition for any coherent action—something caught their attention.
The moment I departed the Freeport, chaos erupted. A stream of incoherent demands flooded my communication, and it became evident they sought to impose a "tax" on my goods—taxing me for water, no less, and demanding a sum of 50,000 SC to boot.
In a rare moment of clarity, knowing full well I was outnumbered in typical DTR fashion, and one of them had his hand suspiciously close to the trigger, I agreed to their terms—on the condition that they undergo an urgently needed bath.
To say their odor was overpowering would be an understatement. It seemed to transcend the very vacuum of space, assaulting my olfactory senses with a stench that was nothing short of oppressive. Never in my life have I encountered such a potent, nauseating fragrance, a true embodiment of depravity.
As I made my departure, I judiciously dropped some water as a parting gesture. One can only hope that, with time, these… individuals… may regain some semblance of humanity.
In conclusion, I would strongly advise avoiding any dealings with the DTR near Freeport 9, lest your sense of smell suffer an irreversible and catastrophic decline.

The log will be appended at the conclusion of this transmission.

The old man, out.

This is Grey, reporting in.

I will endeavor to be as concise as possible.
First, I will provide a brief summary of the mission's progress. The journey to Kepler was uneventful, with the exception of two notable occurrences:

I observed a vessel named A/)-Venus, affiliated with our "friendly" Theocracy, which is typically stationed at Freeport 11. I am uncertain whether it has been tracking our fleet movements.
A crucial warning: if navigating via Copernicus, DO NOT take the red jump hole near the planet. It is highly hazardous and should be avoided at all costs.
We encountered some difficulty in reaching Ames, but our local scientific team was instrumental in guiding us to our destination.
Our laboratory continues its ongoing experiments on dark matter, and I am pleased to report that we have successfully secured the prototype developed by Edward.
From the data we've gathered so far, it appears the prototype has been stabilized using a Nagel-Oster Crystal alloy—an advanced and refined version compared to what Ames currently employs.

The prototype has exhibited sufficient stability and has been transported back to Kadesh for further analysis.
Upon our return, I will require access to the Vega Project in order to conduct additional tests.
Thus, our first objective has been completed.
Regrettably, Edward remains unaccounted for. However, we believe that his research may be recoverable. I intend to dedicate the remaining months of this mission to locating him.
The last account the team has of Edward is his cryptic final words, referring to "light outside" and advising us to "follow it." This may be connected to the unexplored northern passage within the dark matter storm.

We are currently stationed in Laboratory 7, a site our team has utilized for the past decade. This laboratory was sealed for over 12 years prior to our reopening. It is evident that dark matter research was conducted here long before we arrived.
Unfortunately, the only data we have regarding the previous research and Edward’s activities appears to be stored on the main server, which remains locked.

In addition, we discovered several access codes from the time when we were administering the station 12 years ago, thanks to E. Malrone. These logs pertain to the storm's progress as well as the station’s former inhabitants.
Logs1
Logs2

Following a week of data recovery and cartographic surveying of the surrounding area, we encountered additional members of the Technocracy of Auxo:
A/)-Vengeance and A/)-Sakura. Our discussions were primarily focused on the ongoing storm.

Subsequently, we met two freelancers:
Gemini.Kay.MK2, piloted by Leva
Lazurith, piloted by Kristoff
I have observed that Kristoff is likely affiliated with the Theocracy, as his ship displays markings consistent with their faction. These markings were deliberately obscured, suggesting a possible defection from the Auxos. This may explain the presence of the previous two individuals.
I took the opportunity to recruit their assistance in charting the eastern regions of the storm. As anticipated, the buoy had drifted significantly.

I am now transmitting the updated Kepler map, courtesy of their assistance:
[+]Spoiler
Below are the coordinates for navigating the dark matter storm:

1. -37832, 47, 10886
2. -26584, 69, -2609
3. -22253, 45, -17650
4. -21360, 37, -17732
5. -24013 33 -28332
6. -32499, -13, -32852
7. 7857, -1719, 12859
8. 17089, -8619, 4982
9. 24812, -2130, -420

It appears that a northern passage leading to Shikoku exists. Further expeditions will be necessary to explore this route.

Lastly, I would like to note that we also encountered the current administrator of Ames "D", piloting the SLRC-PF>Sisyphus.
They remain unaware of the scope of our research, and I intend to maintain this discretion.

Grey, out.

Jonathan Cayran reporting.

I must apologize for the delay in submitting this report; I am still recuperating from the effects of Corsair rum consumed during the La Arena Sagrada de los Muertos. Seizing the opportunity presented by the event, I managed to land on Crete to gather intelligence. With the Corsairs more engrossed in their internecine blood sport than their usual extortionist tendencies, it was a rare moment of relative freedom. Encouragingly, we still maintain some sympathizers among their ranks, suggesting that the prospect of fostering more diplomatic relations with the Cretans is not entirely out of reach. I’ve attached footage from the tournament for your perusal.

Regarding the tournament itself, it was Ivan de la Peña, better known as Jose Fuentes, who emerged victorious. The Corsairs maintain their reputation for brutality, though I suspect much of it is calculated posturing. Their recent capture of Freeport 9 was likely seen as a panacea for some of their domestic challenges, yet their mismanaged assault has exacerbated their difficulties. Supply chains for critical resources such as fertilizers and pharmaceuticals have been disrupted, leading to reports of regional famines.

The Corsairs' broader strategic position seems to be faltering. Their failed campaigns in Bretonia and Rheinland have significantly curtailed their ability to project power. In response, they appear to be shifting focus toward easier victories, as evidenced by their Freeport 9 campaign. However, intelligence suggests they are already preparing for their next offensive.

Two likely targets have emerged. The first is the Core, whose presence in the Omicrons appears diminished, leaving them vulnerable. Securing Gammu would provide the Corsairs with a strategic foothold and sever the Core’s critical supply links. The alternative possibility is a deeper investment in Dublin, given the increasing flow of Corsair cargo laden with gold from the region.

I consider Gammu to be the more probable target, a move that would bring them perilously close to our operational interests. This heightens the urgency of advancing the Kadesh Shipyard project, which must be completed before Gammu falls under their control. I will confer with Daniel to reinforce our defenses, particularly through the deployment of marines currently undergoing training in collaboration with the Order. Their presence will be essential to our efforts.

On that note, the first contingent of 250 marines has already been delivered to Cairo. After a mandatory day of quarantine, they have commenced their training.

That concludes my report for now, though I must confess the lingering effects of the Corsair rum have left me with a rather persistent headache. For those interested in sampling this infamous concoction, I brought back a few bottles of their finest—consider it a token of their dubious hospitality.

The old man, out.

Phoenix,

Due to the loss of contact with Jeremiah Latif on his way from Livadia Shipyard to Kadesh Orbital City and unsuccessful searches over the last month, I am obliged to announce his official status for now - missed in action. Salvage team still hold the hope that they can find him, but chances are spread thin each hour. Life in the Omicrons can be harsh and unforgiving.

Nevertheless, life goes on, Phoenix has a vast variety of ships to maintain and build for the good of our organization and other Zoners. Please welcome a true professional and friend of mine, Daniel Mac Donagan. As of today, he assumes the position of head of the Construction and Development Department with headquarters based off Livadia Shipyard.

Good day, everyone,

Well, this comes as quite the surprise—I cannae say I expected it. Seems my work on Vega is finally bearin’ fruit.

Sadly, I’ve nae the time for celebrations or a long-winded thank-ye speech. Let me just say I’m grateful tae be workin’ alongside the lot o’ ye—that should do nicely.

Right then, back tae Vega.

Donogan, out.

Good day, everyone,

Enjoy it while ye can, for I come bearing new problems.

First, those damned parasites have once again been spotted daily near Pygar, as Mr. Anderson detected them on his radar system.

Now, the most infuriating part: Not satisfied wi’ their pyrrhic victory at Freeport 9, the corsair 're tryin’ tae take our iridium field. So far, our miners have only spotted a wee freighter, which looks tae have some sort o’ mining array, tryin’ tae extract iridium from the field.

Thankfully, they seem tae be only good at fightin’, but their equipment’s far from perfect. They’ve had a lot o’ trouble even fillin’ their hold.

Now, the big question: How do we respond?
  • Should we try tae help them and form a partnership in exchange for some concessions? It pains me tae even think about it, but these troubling times may need us tae make such concessions. However, I’m sure it’ll come back tae bite us in the arse in a few years. They’ll likely see us as competition, just like they do in the Dublin Gold Field.
  • Should we initiate diplomacy and invite them tae buy our iridium instead o’ chasin’ this vain dream?
  • Finally, me preferred option, should we blast them tae oblivion, or pirate them as they’ve done tae us? That could lead tae consequences, or they might just brush it off, especially since last time, it cost them dear on all fronts just tae get a destroyed base.
I’ll leave ye tae ponder this while I return tae me armor engineering project.

Donogan, out.

So far, it seems the Corsairs are all bark and no bite. Since they have yet to decide on their stance toward us, I’ve taken the opportunity to organize convoys to deliver additional supplies to Corfu and evacuate non-essential personnel with our newest recruits.
Most of the marines trained by the Order have been relocated there, with some stationed at Livadia as a precaution. They will begin training anyone willing to stand against those vacuous mutts, ensuring we are prepared for any eventuality.

Until their words translate into action, we will use this reprieve to strengthen our defenses and advance our diplomatic efforts.

The old man, out.

Jonathan Cayran reporting.

I have much to report today, drawing from multiple sources and encounters.

1. Encounters with the DTR

Leopold, during his food relief mission to Corfu aboard Thelema, reported encountering the DTR twice. It seems our previous communications have unsettled them to the point of irrational persistence.

Their current behavior resembles that of relentless petitioners, attempting to lure our ships into Gamma under the guise of signing dubious documents—sometimes labeled “A-25-D,” at other times “A-D32”. But every time it reeks of deceit.

It is evident they aim to bait our vessels into a vulnerable position, possibly to take hostages. Their initial lack of aggression supports this theory, as does their measured behavior. It seems their elders have tightened their leash, successfully suppressing overt violence—for a short time.

This restraint only held temporarily. Especially after Core fleet intervened, scattering the DTR and allowing Leopold's ship safe passage to Theta. The cracks in their masks were evident. Their restraint faltered as they attempted to expedite matters:
They launched missiles at Corfu, triggering its automated defenses.
They attempted to force one of our ships into an atmospheric dive.

This second act was particularly alarming. Lelanto sustained damage while trying to push the Bulwark. When that failed, the DTR deployed a capital ship under the name Cpt.Price, attempting to physically push our vessel into a fatal trajectory. Thanks to the skillful maneuvers of our pilot, disaster was narrowly averted, and Leopold managed to dock safely despite their subsequent efforts to blockade Corfu Bay.

These events suggest a calculated strategy to coerce us into signing that enslaving Theta treaty—or worse, to eliminate dissenting Zoners under the guise of “accidents.” Be vigilant, colleagues. Their erratic behavior and transparent ploys to shift blame indicate a dangerous escalation. Their precarious position compels them to search an angle to get the victim card in an attempt to avoid further damage to their already shattered image.

2. Successful Shipments to Corfu

On a more positive note, most shipments to Corfu have been successfully completed:

Emergency food stocks have been replenished.
Those wishing to evacuate have been safely relocated.
Thanks to Weiss, we delivered a significant quantity of weaponry—though we hope to avoid their use. These arms are formidable.
[+]Shipment manifest
Cargo type TypeAmount
Daumann Side Arms20000

Detroit Light Arms2000

Ablative armor2000
3. Modifications to the Bulwark

Finally, Mac Donogan has completed the necessary modifications to our Bulwark for the ‘forward ejection pod.’ While his technical explanations were, as always, filled with incomprehensible jargon, the enhancements appear effective.

Let us remain cautious and prepared. The DTR’s deranged tactics may evolve further, and we must anticipate their next moves to protect our interests and people.

The old man, out.

Goodday,

In light of the deteriorating situation in Theta, an additional carrier division has been re-assigned from Delta to reinforce the Theta group. The goal is to quell the increasing incursions by xeno entities, as well as countering the political and militant pressure from the Corsairs. This should give a some respite to all Zoners and affiliated vessels in the system, ensuring as much coverage as possible for our freighters and transports during their passage.

The incoming division is also transporting additional sensor buoys, scanning arrays, and defensive systems directly to Corfu and Pygar. These upgrades will re-bolster security and safeguard our assets, artefacts, and other sensitive materials both on and around the planet. Although originally designed to address threats from nomads and compromised individuals, the systems have undergone last-minute adaptations to function as a wider advance warning mechanism for the planet and the patrolling fleet.

The decision to allocate more resources to this sector has not been made lightly, as it will undoubtedly impact operations in other regions. However, it is vital that we remain steadfast in protecting our way of life and prevent losing influence in this key system, which risks isolation if left unchecked.

Separately, considering Pygar's current strategic position and the heightened risk of artefacts falling into the wrong hands, I strongly recommend maintaining close communication with our allies and being prepared to call for their assistance, should urgent circumstances arises.

- Alec

Jonathan Cayran reporting.

Yesterday, we detected intense fleet activity near the Zeta sun—close enough to identify the combatants as The Order and the avaricious Core. Though the outcome remains uncertain, the ferocity of the battle suggests the Core is redirecting its attention to Zeta.

With that in mind, I contacted our trainee marines, who confirmed that something is indeed afoot: The Order appears to be preparing for the worst. Despite these developments, they have not bothered to reach out to us. Therefore, once I establish contact with The Order, I will begin relocating our marines and newly trained instructors to Kadesh.

Should we receive no response, I will have no choice but to move them back.

The old man, out.
