Kurains idea is good. There should still be some point defence capability as it would be a shame to die to NPC fighters as well. NPC bombers would be cool too. but maybe missles can fill this bill as is.

But a then if the gunboat is made the fly swatter as it should be then one cannot really complain. SO then we could have the criuser with a couple gunboat flanking it like the NPCs.

Its capital ships in battle that make battles look EPIC in my opinion. Then I guess a million fighters out there does too. To many "Disco historic" have been fought with few Caps to reprsent. Even faction from capital heavy NPC factions (Rhineland) use nothing but bombers. However I spoke to one of the RM and they said they would give caps a shot. (thanks)

It would just be nice to see caps being represented by people other than PVPers, new guys, and then the die hard folk that need/use them for thier RP despite imbalance.

The factionalized flag ships would have the Super star destroyer effect out there too in a cap battle with fighters running to conduct strategic attacks. Or maybe this could be called the mothership class (swiped term from Homeworld) It would also be very neat to have many targetable sub system componets on those ships so hull damage is not the main goal but tearing it apart a piece at a time.

No....Slower turning ability that means SUPER painful after getting rammed by NPC....and rocks...and a the ship has 3 times more armor than the regular one..no again...they stay as they are..a Flagship doesnt mean it has more armor or firepower than the regular version...they just have a command officer on it..and it's protected by the whole fleet...
