Good Day Esteemed Leaders of the Rheinland Military and Police.

My name is Caitlyn Cross and I am the Chairwoman of Orbital Spa and Cruise. I am contacting you today Because of the Heroic Actions that your Members Displayed in Escorting our Maiden Voyage Yesterday. As you are aware of we had the Maiden Voyage of the OS&C|TE-Karuizawa Yesterday and were Escorted by Members of the [RM] and the KSP|. The Ships present were the "[RM]Kpl-Elias.Beist", "[RM]KKS-Miltenberg", and "KPR|Inspektorin". While Mister Beist and the Inspectorin were in Fighers, the Miltenberg was a Gunboat. All Pilots and Crews showed Outstanding Manners towards our guests, but this is not why I am writing to you today. The Reason for this Letter is the Events that Happened at the Hamburg Gate. At the Gate, we were Ambushed by 2 Hessian "Vidar" Class Cruisers and a Coalition Build "Hurricane" Class Battlecruiser that was also Operated by the Hessians. We and our Escorts from the Rheinland Military and the Police were Highly Outgunned by the Appearance of this Flotilla, but this didn't hold our Protectors back. They Engaged the Superior Force and opened up a Window for our Escape. Especially the Miltenberg Showed Great Bravery and Engaged the Large Battlecruiser with Remarkable Skill.

Even when we could not escape the Hessians in the end and had to pay them a Hefty Ransom of 300.000 Credits and a Load of Gin (Both were Refunded by our Insurance). We feel the Need to Send a Letter of Recommendation to you. Unfortunately, we cannot award them a corresponding medal as Orbital Dont have an Established Tradition for such Awards. We would Like to Recommend the Pilots for a corresponding medal from the Rhineland Government. In the Eyes of Orbital Spa and Cruise these Pilots and the Crew of the Miltenberg showed the greatest courage and bravery in the face of an enemy with superior weapons, a merit that should be recognized accordingly.

With Great Sadness, we have heard that the Miltenberg was Heavily Damaged in its Relentless Attack against the Hessians. Therefore we would Like to ask if there were any losses among its Crew. In such a case we would Like to Financially Support the Families of these Brave Men and Women. They Risked all to Save our Liners, Crews, and Guests from these Barbaric Hessians who would have killed us all if it weren't for their Brave Actions. As for the Survivors of the Miltenberg and their Families, as well as the 2 Escort Fighter Pilots, we would like to extend an Invitation for a Free VIP Holiday to any Orbital Destination that they Choose. They and their Families are Invited to a Full 1 Month Holiday that is Paid Completely by OS&C.

First and foremost, allow me to extend my sincerest apologies for the delayed response. As Inspektorin of the Kaiserliche Rheinland Polizei, my duties have been extensive in recent days, encompassing not only the routine oversight of our jurisdiction but also inspections and operational duties across multiple Rheinland systems. Paperwork and logistical concerns have, regrettably, begun to accumulate in my office as I’ve prioritized active patrols and ensuring the safety of our space. Your thoughtful letter of praise has been among the most pleasant documents on my desk, and I am grateful for the opportunity to read it.

It is truly an honor to receive your commendation on behalf of my colleagues and myself. Our actions during the escort of the OS&C|TE-Karuizawa were driven by duty and the desire to uphold the highest standards of protection for those who traverse Rheinland space. The situation at the Hamburg Gate was indeed precarious. The ambush by the Hessian flotilla, composed of two “Vidar” Class Cruisers and a Coalition-designed “Hurricane” Class Battlecruiser, was a stark reminder of the dangers lurking even within well-monitored regions. Despite being outgunned, we prioritized creating a safe passage of your liner, its crew, and your convoy all above else.

The bravery shown by the Rheinland Military and myself piloting on KPR|Inspektorin, exemplified the highest courage and dedication even if fighting against superior forces, while ensuring at best the safety of your convoy.
I am deeply grateful that you, your crew, and your passengers were able to leave Rheinland space and borders safely.
I personally shared concern about the Crew of Miltenberg's Vessel, who fought at best and i am glad about the generous offer of financial support to affected families and the invitation for a VIP holiday to all those involved is a testament to the integrity and goodwill of Orbital Spa and Cruise.

As Inspektorin, I do not expect or seek recognition or medals for my role in these events. For me, the satisfaction lies in knowing that our actions contributed to the safety of your vessel and the whole Convoy. It is, however, deeply encouraging to know that our efforts were noted and appreciated.
Such acknowledgment reinforces our commitment to our duties and serves as a reminder of the importance of our role in ensuring the security of Rheinland’s space.

While we cannot prevent every attack, it is our responsibility to make Rheinland’s borders as secure as possible for lawful travelers.

Once again, I express my gratitude for your thoughtful letter and for taking the time to acknowledge the efforts of the Rheinland Military and Polizei. I look forward to seeing our partnership grow stronger by each day.
