I've got everything up and operational again. Had to do a full purge of everything but such is life--just to ensure that I'm free and clear. I picked up some new equipment from some wayward Zoners out past the edgeworlds. It seems their tech is adequate for my uses at the moment. I may upgrade it later provided I have the resources and time.
Got back to Mactan late last night. Going to see about scoring some intel where I can--at this point anything will do. Coronado is probably best for that with the unusual company seen frequenting around those parts in the past few months. Going to see about picking up some odd jobs outside of Liberty proper, too. No sense sticking in Liberty where the do-gooders want to put me in a body bag with nary a word.
Cretins.
I'll have more to write later, I'm sure. With the types of people I've seen flying around of late, I'm sure I'll run into an idiot sooner than later.

So, I flew to Coronado this evening and decided to stop by the Insidious. It's been a few months since I stopped by. Imagine my surprise when my Spyglass pinged the ship in an entirely different sector. I decided to stroll by and speak to some of the operators onboard. After all, I knew quite a few individuals there from previous operations.
Well, to my surprise the ship wouldn't let me moor. I guess their mooring clamps had seen some wear and tear and were inoperable at the time. So instead I decided to take a stroll and see if I could find some intel in the system. To my surprise I came upon a fellow Hacker from the Inner Circle. We spoke for a while about ongoing things within Liberty...including, apparently, a high ranking Outcast working with Xenos. The hell? What's going on in this sector lately? It's like the entire damn place is coming unglued. Who would've thought thought that an Outcast would willingly work with a Xeno. What's worse, is apparently the person they're working with is the lead of the Xeno Alliance.
I foresee some dangerous times in the future. Good thing I never got hooked on Cardamine, or else things would be looking really bleak right about now. Something tells me that I should get ready for some work from the Inner Circle in the coming days. Hopefully I'll have the free time to provide some services.

After the discussion with the member of the Inner Circle last night, I decided to do some sleuthing. I came to the realization of a few things:
1 - There is no TLAGSNET connectivity in Cortez or Coronado despite there being active lanes in those areas. That tells me that Ageira has limited connectivity in those areas as well. This might be something that we can use to our advantage. However, the downsides to this is we are blind there as well. We should look into gaining access to the network in Cortez and especially Coronado with the existence of the Insidious within the system.
2 - Cardamine traffic through Coronado is down, no doubt thanks to Crayter and IMG patrols in the area. While the rumors of Crayter and IMG having a falling out during aftermath of the Malta slave revolt, it appears they are still united as far as stopping Cardamine trade through a system in which they both have a vested interest. I haven't checked the alternate route passing through Leeds and into Magellan. Even though slightly longer, Freelancers and Outcasts may be utilizing that route with the Bretonia and her allies focusing more on Dublin.
3 - LSF activity is down in the region as well. They appear to be fosing most of their energies on Ontario with the recently discovered ruins activating on Planet Sudbury. Cochrane has even seen some Order vessels in the area supporting the Xenos of all things. LSF and Order seem to have some kind of mutual understanding (for now) in the area, but that could blow up at any time like a powerkeg. Cochrane forces are mostly staying out of it but some are getting involved in "live fire exercises" near the anomaly on the planets surface. Plus, with the recent rift opening to Inverness, rumor has it that the LSF even have a small foothold there. No intelligence corroborates this, but the rumor must have some basis in reality.
4 - The Outcasts and Xenos angle. The revelation of the Inner Circle member has me more wary of Outcasts than usual. I was always suspicious of their kind but that paranoid has been dialed up to 11 since last night. I do have to deliver some intel to an Outcast at Freeport 10 in the coming days. I've put it off a couple of times but the Outcast in particular is getting annoyed with my stalling. I need to go take care of it and hope that I don't have to do a complete purge of my assets again. Those purges seems to keep getting closer and closer together. After this, I think I'm done dealing with Outcasts and their kin; too much risk. That and the fact that an LSF agent assassinated one of our own when they were willing to work with a Xeno for a short period. Makes you wonder who is in whose pocket.
There has never been a more important time to keep your head on a fucking swivel. Once I get this deal with this Outcast done, I'm staying the hell away from Alpha and Malta for the foreseeable future. I don't want to work with Corsairs either, but at least they're just bloodthirsty. Outcasts are crafty and insidious...at least with bloodthirsty, you know what you're getting.

I've been laying low over the past couple of days after running into an LSF agent in Vespucci. I'm no where near ready to tangle with them yet, especially not so soon after a reconstitution on my identity. I managed to give him the slip before he was able to get close enough to ping my ship. No doubt his radar saw me but the Guerrero Asteroid Cloud managed to shield me long enough to get into Omega-55 and out of line of sight.
The other reason for not wanting to get spotted by the LSF is to protect Lockheart who is still under the oppressive thumb of Ageira corporate. After I was setup as a fall guy, she was grilled for information about me. By some miracle she escaped a jail sentence but is no doubt being watched closely by various organizations for any contact with me. I wish I could reach out, but doing so would compromise us both and probably land her in some black site that doesn't offically exist. Sigh, I wish I could see her, to reach out and touch her...to feel her warmth.
She was the one who found out I was about to get screwed and told me to run. I didn't want to leave her behind, I urged her to come with me but she stayed put, saying that someone needed to stay on the inside to feed information out. She hasn't sent anything since my explosive departure though and I worry that she might have been thrown into a hole somewhere. I need more information but I lack the resources to do anything at the moment other than be a nuisance. Hopefully that changes with my fated encounter with one of the Inner Circle. I don't know what happened with his operation and I regret that I wasn't able to participate. That might've netted me some brownie points I could have used to find Lockheart.
I'm going to give it a couple of more days before I pop my head up. I'm laying low in an abandoned station in Magellan and will resume my normal operations once things cool off.

You know, it's odd.
Other than that one Inner Circle agent I ran into and those...bizarre (but effective) girls out of Ontario, I've seen very little other Hacker groups active. Even the two aforementioned groups aren't as active as I thought that our organization would be. It makes you wonder at how effective we truly are in the face of our enemies in the LSF, Ageira, and Xenos. I've trekked across quite a bit of Sirius, even places our kind don't normally frequent and yet...I've seen very little activity from us. Hell, even run of the mill Pirates are more active than we are. Maybe someone oughta look into that.
I made the difficult decision to handover the gunship to some other Hackers when I returned to Liberty. It's too...inconspicuous. There are so few of its kind around these days that I actually stood out instead of blending in. I'm still debating on what to pick up in it's place, I'm thinking a Marauder. Those little ships have so many parts strewn across the sector that I shouldn't have any problems modifying a shell to suit my needs. We'll see what turns up.

I picked up a heavily used Marauder from some boys on Barrier Gate and began the task of stripping it down to its frame. I'd forgotten how relaxing building your own ship could be. I sourced a variety of parts from various places, one was even as far as Omega-48 if you can believe it. However, once I had assembled all of the parts, I came to the realization that everything I wanted to do was not going to fit into the shell of this small ship. However, instead of putting it back together and selling it to an enterprising Freelancer, I instead put it into storage until I had the parts to turn it into a lean, fast, scout ship capable of getting in and out of places with ease.
Basically, I'm back to square one and don't have a ship to use at the moment.
I've got the low-down on a possible opportunity to boost an Obsidian in Newcastle but the information I've got related to its whereabouts is sketchy as fuck and seems like it might be a setup rather than an opportunity. I need more information and unfortunately my network was torn apart when I purged my former identity. It looks like I might have to call in some help. Either the Lovelace gang or maybe the Inner Circle. The former would probably do it just for the "lulz", the latter would probably enact a steep price for getting them involved. I think I'll reach out to Lovelace first, see if they can get any intel that I haven't already obtained on the ship. If they're unable to help, I'll swallow my pride and reach out to Mr. Ling to see what can be done.

Delivered some intel to people in Orkney this evening and ran into some rather odd characters. I was operating under a cloak as I usually do in unfamiliar locations and came across a Zoner "talking" with two alien ships. I sat observing for a time before deciding to reveal myself. The Zoner was squirrelly at first, asking how much it would cost me to delete their presence from my logs. I told them 100,000 should cover it. Normally I'd charge an exorbitant fee but since I recognized the ships signature as one that had helped some of my friends out on Ithaca a while back, I decided to give them the friends and family rate.
Not much after, what can only be described as a suicidal pilot came screaming onto the scene in a light fighter with it's hull panels singed and falling off from the explosive gas pockets in the area. The fool even had an overclocked racing engine onboard. What the hell was he trying to accomplish flying through this nebula at 1,000m/s?
It was at about that time that the transfer of data to my client was complete and I decided to get out of dodge before those alien ships decided that we were expendable and vented my newly acquired Obsidian. I'm waiting on a message from Chloe and the gang as to when to meet up to transfer this data...hopefully soon, it's burning a hole in my pocket.
