To the representatives who signed the Theta Treaty
I am contacting you with unfortunate tidings that will effect Omicron Theta and Pygar.
I am no longer the Administrator of Pygar and instead Phoenix have taken over. I was forced out of my position due to my putting the needs of Pygar and its denizens first over the goals of Phoenix. Despite my protests I had little choice but to stand down and leave the planet.
As far as I know, Phoenix have no intention of being part of the Treaty or upholding what I had put in place, considering Pygar as a Phoenix asset. At this time I think its safe to assume they won't and instead try to isolate Pygar and Corfu from those they don't agree with.
I'm at a loss as to what I myself can do at this stage. The Kaldra, her crew and my staff who left with me from Pygar remain in the Omicrons whilst I work out my next move.
How you handle this situation is in your hands, just know i did everything i could for Pygar and to try and maintain stability in Theta.

Those are very sad news, you are bringing to us, amigo. I highly appreciate all efforts you made in the past for the people of Pygar, to work together with us and keep the peace in Omicron Theta. The situation we have today would surely not be as stable without your contributions.
With regard to the consequences for the Omicron Theta Treaty signed by us, I will certainly reach out soon to the new administrators to find out. However, I share your concerns that they likely will not honor our agreement the way you did.
As for your personal fate, you and your crew are always welcome on Freeport 9 and Planet Crete if you wish to seek asylum there and plan your next steps. You have been a great collaborator for the Imperio and this is the least we can do for you.

It is disappointing that things have come to this. We set up shop here in Theta as refugees ourselves from the Bretonian occupation of Gran Canaria to provide service to those refugees that now call Pygar home. While the arrangement with the Corsairs was not perfect, they in my opinion, have been good neighbors. The disappointment is of course, Phoenix. I do not dislike them but they cannot seem to put aside their differences with the Corsairs as we did and their presence tied in with that grievance could very well unravel all we have accomplished her.
Med Force Enterprises will stand by as it has. We do not have much more than a few scattered security ships around Sirius but it is my hope that cooler heads will prevail. Jerard, if you need a place to hide, we can quarter you on one of our stations if need be.
One thing to consider is the holding of the Phoenix. They not only control Corfu and Pygar but they also have control over Lividia Shipyard and if I am not mistaken, Freeport 11. Those bases have seen enough already. As I said, let us hope that cooler heads prevail.

The news you're reporting are worrying. Let me tell you that I'm very sorry about what is happening, and that it seems tremendously unfair. It's disappointing that you're being removed from your position after everything you've done for this planet, and for those of us who live in it.
Most of us who are here ended up on the planet fleeing the invasion of Gran Canaria. We brought with us the few things we were able to save in our hasty exodus, and arrived in a hostile, arid and violent environment. Based on effort and sacrifice, little by little we were transforming it into the harsh, but free home that it's today. Pygar is arguably the example of how the Zoners are able to reinvent themselves again and again in the face of each misfortune.
Nevertheless, a group of solitary stones doesn't make a building, they need mortar to hold them together. Well, all this time you were that mortar. It was your wise and dedicated management work from Central that allowed the settlements that were emerging to prosper to a greater or lesser extent. You've shown that you're a worthy leader willing to do anything to guarantee the safety of the people under your authority, even if it means making decisions that go against your own principles. Someone who is able to contain his personal pride in order to safeguard the lives of those innocents who depend on him, has my respect and my support. And I know that this is an opinion that isn't only held by me, but is shared by many of the inhabitants of this planet. People always remember.
As far as the stance the NCC will take from now on, I can say that nothing will change regarding how we have operated so far. As for the Administration of the Planet, we will continue to consider it to belong rightfully to Jerard Voncloud, since you're the one who has earned our trust and the position through blood, sweat and tears over this last years. This Church also will continue to honor the Theta Treaty, I gave my word and my seal, and that's something sacred to me. We will also consider the whole Planet Pygar to be a signatory to the Treaty, however much the Phoenix may now wish to reverse it, or pretend it never happened. I believe they have no legitimacy to do so, and I hope the other signatories will interpret this issue in exactly the same way as I do.
To be completely honest, we wouldn't want to have any problems with the Phoenix people, since they're Zoner brothers and Deux disapproves confrontation between humans. Also, I still hope that their leaders come to understand for themselves that the decision they're making is not correct nor desired in Pygar. However, I've no intention of voluntarily giving up the principle of human understanding and cooperation that we've achieved in Theta after all the carnage that took place last year. It would be like spitting on the graves of those who died during the war, if all the sacrifices made and all the bile we were forced to swallow in pursuit of peace are wasted.
And precisely because I've no idea what intentions the Phoenix may have from this moment on towards those of us who disagree with its recent actions, I declared a State of Emergency in Faith Haven a few minutes ago. The local militia that we trained and armed as a precaution during the Freeport 9 crisis is being re-mobilized, and the soldiers of the Pontifical Guard have taken up defensive positions on the borders of the colony. Likewise, I have also ordered the colony ship NCC Resurgence to position itself near Pygar's orbit, in case we need to urgently evacuate the civilian population as we did during the war.
The few gunboats and the two Fearless-class destroyers in the service of the Pontifical Navy have also been put on alert, although for now they will continue to carry out their anti-Nomad patrols in the destinations where they're currently assigned. As I said, we've no desire to actively confront the Phoenix and we're not going to start any hostility against them. Nevertheless, in the face of the present uncertainty I've no choice but to take measures in an attempt, if necessary, to protect the interests of my people and our own autonomy.
We shall see what the near future holds for Omicron Theta, though I hate to find ourselves once again in a situation of worry and concern. I fervently pray to Our Lord to instill rationality in the minds of men, and I also pray for you, Administrator Voncloud, and wish you the best. I don't know the exact terms on which you currently meet the Phoenix, but I assume that right now it's safest for you to stay away from Pygar. Even so, don't forget that our home is also yours, and you will always be welcome here or wherever there is a member of this Holy Church.

Uh, Hello
You guys probably don't know me, I go by Chillworth Blaine. I'm Von's right hand aboard the Kaldra, and well, the Kaldra and Von is why I'm messagin.
Yesterday, the ship got into a bit of a punch up with a Black Sails ship with the name Vendetta. Von made the call to fight, then made the call to surrender and pay the money they were askin for. Happy with the Payment the sails ship started to wonder off, but during the fight there was a ship going by "Noth-11" who begun shootin at us. Statin someone wanted Von Dead. More of his buddies showed up, and began attackin. The Kaldra was already heavily damaged from fightin the Vendetta and eventually Von ordered the ship to evacuate.
The engagement with the Vendetta and the assault by these Noth fellas has left the Kaldra crippled, its floating about in Theta now. But that aint the worst of it.
The Noth lot targeted the Escape pods. Had we not been close to Freeport 9 all the pods might of been destroyed. But many were, much of the crew is dead and a handful were lucky, me included.
But even more worse then that. Scans and crews have yet to find any sign of Vonclouds Escape pod. Either intact or as debris. There just aint no sign of it. Its possible he went down with the ship as it were but I'm certain he got to a pod.
Me and whats left of the crew got taken to MFE Academy to get the once over. Once we can we will be lookin at the area to look for any traces of Von. But i figured you guys best be let known of what's going on.

What you're telling us fills me with horror. I can't believe that... Well... I don't want to believe that Jerard Voncloud has...

Well, let's not despair. If there are no remains of his capsule, it could well be that... it simply hasn't been found. He could be in cryostasis right now, wandering in the void. We must continue the search and not stop until we find it. He's one of ours and it's the least he deserves. I myself will immediately order two fighters from the reconnaissance wing of the Pontifical Guard to leave immediately for Freeport 9, and join in the search efforts.
And speaking of the Treaty. You say the Kaldra was pirated by a Corsair ship? This is very serious and inadmissible. As signatories of the Treaty, we're supposed to be under protection by the Corsair Empire. This is a violation of the agreement we have. I expect some kind of explanation from Executor Herrera or Elder Gutierrez as soon as possible.
And who in the hell are those Noth? Hitmen? Hired by whom? I think it's extremely important to focus in find out who is the bastard that organized this vile act.
Mr. Blaine, I will pray to Our Lord fervently for you and your crew, as well as for the souls of the deceased. But apart from my prayers, if I can do anything for you or yours just ask for it. The Church is at your entire disposal.

On behalf of Nova Magerit and the great Corsair Empire, I send my sincerest wishes for the swift and safe recovery of señor Voncloud. May he remain unharmed and in good health. Tonight, I myself shall light a candle at La Sagrada de Santa Muerte en Creta, and the Order of Santa Muerte will offer prayers for his well-being. For let me make one thing clear: the Corsair Brotherhood did not sanction, nor do we take responsibility for the actions of the Black Sails in this unfortunate event. Were we present, this situation could have been averted. However, our commitment to maintaining peace in the system and reducing tensions with Phoenix kept us occupied elsewhere as we've drastically reduced patrols around Pygar.
Señor Voncloud is a respected leader among his people and has been a good neighbor to the Empire. It is neither our interest nor our wish to see harm come to him. If this attack truly occurred as described, it reeks of mistaken identity, or worse, the kind of underhanded false flag operation Phoenix warmongers might concoct to ignite the fires of war in Omicron Theta. Let us be clear: such a war would benefit no one. The devastation would destabilize the entire system and, worse still, leave us vulnerable to the nomad incursion. Nomad activity in Omicron Theta grows bolder, and now is the time for humanity to unite against these blue ghosts, not tear itself apart.
Phoenix, has shown itself to be a venomous serpent, a deceitful breed that cannot be trusted. If they were to find Señor Voncloud’s escape pod before we do.... let us not pretend to know the outcome of that. No, compañeros, their intentions reek of war mongering and chaos, and we must act decisively and as one to ensure they do not play their dirty games.
I will dispatch the finest treasure hunters of the Empire. true maestros of their craft, to Omicron Theta. Their mission is clear: find Señor Voncloud, unharmed, and deliver him safely to Battleship Prox. For the one who achieves this, I offer a reward of one million credits. Let this be a testament to the Corsair Empire’s commitment to honour and justice. While we move mountains to save a Zoner’s life, Phoenix does nothing but stoke the fires of destruction.
Rumors are spreading like wildfire on Freeport 9, whispers of treachery and deceit. But hear me now: the Brotherhood seeks peace with its neighbors, not conflict. Yet do not, for a moment, mistake our olive branch for a sign of weakness. Should anyone seek to exploit this situation or challenge the might of the Empire, they will find themselves crushed beneath our boots.
For now, let us focus on what truly matters: bringing Señor Voncloud home safely.
