Good day Senór Garmendia,

Thanks for the update! I’m glad to hear the materials passed QC. Our team is dedicated to quality, and it’s great to see phase 1b getting underway at Freeport 9.
For the fund transfer, please direct it to OSI-Bank.Deposits, and our accounting team will ensure the pilots are rewarded for their efforts. Let me know if you need any more details to complete the transaction.

Looking forward to seeing Freeport 9 flourish again. Here’s to a successful rebuild and a strong partnership!

Buenos días Bob,

The clearance of debris and smaller wrecks around Freeport 9 is ongoing since some time now, and I am writing to update you on the situation and our progress.

Our first priority was to disassemble and remove debris obstructing access to docking bays and mooring ports in order to facilitate the arrival of traders and supply ships. We deployed specialized repair ships and a re-purposed asteroid miner to cover those tasks. The vessels succeeded in moving smaller debris parts into the station for further disassembly into recyclable scrap and restoring a damaged Imperator Gunboat wreck to a point that it could be transported safely to the nearest available docking bay on the Freeport. Our ingenieros onboard the Freeport are still assessing whether it is worth to fully repair it or if the damages are too severe.

Thanks to the outstanding trabajo of the entire restoration crew, the docking and mooring ports facing the Omicron Gamma jump hole and Planet Pygar are easier accessible now. Our station repair crew will be busy for some time with the further recycling of the debris onboard the station as well as assessment of remaining internal damages that will be taken care of next. Once we have a clear picture of the situation, I will inform you to discuss our possible next steps.

Buenos días Bob,

It has been some time since our last communication. I have heard from Javier that you have suffered from radiation disease not long ago, and I hope that you could recover well in the meantime. I was told about the potentially disadvantageous change in administration on Pygar. However, I am certain that despite that unfortunate event, we can still continue with our joint plans to restore the Freeport.

The recycling of space debris and the Imperator Gunboat wreck have been taking more time than we anticipated, but we have a clear enough picture now to plan some next steps. Moreover, the recovered materials should be of good use for the upcoming repairs in other parts of the Freeport.

After successful repairs on Wing D and most if the obstructing debris close to the station in the first phase of the repairs, I would suggest to focus our attention now on Corridor C and the associated Wing C. Restoring those structures will allow us to regain access to all available docking bays and mooring fixtures, dramatically increasing the docking capacities for traders on the Freeport. My hopes are that this improvement will lead to even higher numbers of trade ships from the Border- and Edgeworlds stopping at our Freeport and doing business here…with a fair taxation of course.

Please inform me about your thoughts on this matter. If you agree with our plans, I will have the engineering teams calculate what is needed for those actions.

High regards,
Lucas Garmendia, Logistics Officer

Buenos Días Senor Garmendia

Lady Celcius Abonwood Here.
Dear Bob is away on a Business and hopefully rest trip after his radiation ordeal so I am filling in for the moment to ensure that we keep things in gear and going strong.

I think we here at OSI concur that getting Freeport 9's docking facilities back to full strength is the right move to make. With those facilities repaired getting the Biodomes rebuilt and restarted will be expediated.
My concern and one i will need to bring to the board and Treaty members is your idea of taxation. This is not something that has been mentioned before, and is not something Freeport 9 has ever had in place. This will need to be discussed in full between all parties, and until such a time I insist that no taxing is to occur to ensure that Traders, who are already wary of coming to Freeport 9 aren't given more reason to avoid the station.

Along with the recycling of the Imperator Gunboat, the Fearless Cruiser's i feel would also be best served being recycled and incorporated into Freeport 9. For lack of a better term we can Frankenstein Freeport 9 into a true beacon of Zoner Corsair co-operation.

As another token, I have personally put a hefty tab behind the bar for the Zoner and Corsair Engineers to enjoy. Responsibly of course.

Here's to our continued efforts and the eventual restoration of Freeport 9

Buenos días Celcius,

It’s good to hear from you again and that Bob is getting better! For our common first priority, the recovery of the full docking capacity, our ingenious have done their work and estimated that we will require:
  • 20,000 units of Basic Alloy
  • 10,000 units of Robotics
  • 10,000 units of Hull Panels
  • 10,000 units of Construction Machinery
  • 5,000 units of Industrial Materials
  • 5,000 units of Consumer Goods

For the first phase of the reconstruction we agreed on the following unitary prices:

Basic Alloy: 150 credits per unit
Robotics: 80 credits per unit
Hull Panels: 280 credits per unit
Construction Machinery: 85 credits per unit
Consumer Goods: 135 credits per unit

Please let me know if those are still accurate and what unitary price you charge for Industrial Materials.

Regarding any taxation for traders, I suggest we leave the topic for a later time once all repairs are concluded and will not ask for any taxes until then. Once the repairs on the station have progressed, the recycling of the Fearless Cruiser could definitely be something else that we can tackle in this phase of the restoration. The materials recovered from it could be certainly useful for repairs and, as you said, could act as a beacon of our cooperation.

So we will work on gaining access to all docking facilities first in Phase 2a and then work on the disassembly and recycling of the Fearless Cruiser wreck in Phase 2b.

Gracias for the bar tab, our joint Corsair-Zoner restoration team is definitely making good use of it – outside of their working hours of course.

High regards,
Lucas Garmendia, Logistics Officer

Good afternoon Senór Garmendia,

Thank you for your message and, above all, for the care you’ve extended to me and my crew after the unfortunate incident. The timely response and swift repatriation to the MFE hospital in Theta made all the difference, helping us recover quickly and avoid further complications. Your support during that time means a lot to us.

I’m now back in my seat after my colleague, Lady Celcius Abonwood, kindly stepped in for a short while. She did an excellent job keeping everything on track and maintaining smooth communication with you.

Regarding the materials and unitary prices for the reconstruction, OSI agrees that the prices you’ve outlined remain unchanged. In fact, the first deliveries have already been made, and we’re ready to continue supporting this effort. Yet, as the price for Industrial Materials wasn't mentioned we set this to 110 SC/unit.

Postponing the discussion on trader taxation until after repairs are complete is a prudent choice. I also fully support the planned phases—restoring full docking capacity in Phase 2a and moving on to recycle the Fearless Cruiser wreck in Phase 2b. Utilizing those materials for repairs will not only aid the restoration but also symbolize the strength of our cooperation.

And muchas gracias for the bar tab! The Corsair-Zoner restoration team has been making good use of it—only outside of working hours, of course. Together, we’re making great strides toward restoring Freeport 9, and I’m excited to see what we’ll achieve in the coming phases.
