The screen opens up to a man standing behind a command console. The man has long unkempt hair and a serious look on his face. A red sheen is just noticeable from behind his pupils.
Greetings, Zoners of Livadia Shipyard, my name is Jadyn Giles, also known as Grimwolfe in some circles. I'm the captain of a Bustard class vessel named the Black Harvest. We are requesting drydock permissions for repairs, restock, and a hull upgrade to support the weaponry and engines which were recently added by various groups in the Omicrons and Omegas.
The Zoners at Livadia are known sector wide for their skills at not only building ships of advanced prowess, but also as connoisseurs of upgrading a wide variety of vessels the size of the Black Harvest. I am willing to pay handsomely for any work you and your crews are able to do. If a drydock moor is not available at this time, we will standby nearby your station and aid in any tasks you would have of me and my Freelancer crew...provided our humble Carrier is able to restock before doing so.
Feel free to reach out to me on this line with any fees, costs, or otherwise assoiciated with this request. We will standby for your response.
He nods once and the transmission ends, replaced by the logo of a wolf before going black.

I've lost people who meant the world to me...and I'm still doing just fine. I'm coming for everything they said I couldn't have.
Och, a freelancer wi’ a Bustard, eh? Sounds like yer business is boomin’ tae land yersel’ a ship like that!
Standard repairs’ll be handled automatic once ye dock, an’ the cost is the same as anywhere else.
Mind ye, for any upgrades, that depends on what ye’re after, seein’ as the Livadians keep most o’ their secrets for us an’ the Zoners.
Also, fer yer information, we’re at war wi’ the Corsairs—so expect a good bit o’ security onboard.
Before ye dock, ye’ll be asked tae power down those capital ship weapons. Ye’ll be boardin’ in groups of five, which is for two reasons: we’ve got aliens lurkin’ in this sector, an’ they’ve a nasty habit o’ replacin’ folks or worse. So, no artifacts or weapons allowed—they’ll be stored and returned once ye head out. Finally stay in public area and Corinth Annex is off-limits, mind ye.
Now, about the drydock, we could clear one in a few hours once a cruiser shifts.
But tell me—what brings ye here, an’ what exactly are ye after?

He looks down and chuckles before raising his eyes to the camera. The red hue behind his pupils is less pronounced, but still present.
Yes, you could say that our business is booming. The providence of the Black Harvest is a mystery, you see. My crew signed on after the vessel had already been...obtained. However, I am getting off-topic.
Three months ago, we were transitioning from Omicron Theta to Omicron Delta, however the jump hole destabilized and threw us out into normal space twixt the two star systems. This left us stranded three months outside of civilized space. We traveled back at sub-luminal speeds recently arrive back in normal space. The ship itself weathered the storm, my people did not. We need supplies to restock our bare stores and there are a few systems that need some maintenance. I figured if you would welcome us as your guests for a time, that we could also get our hull reinforced.
You see, the Black Harvest was originally a "yacht" for a wealthy businessman. However, I acquired it under some, shall we say "unique", circumstances and I have been working on getting it into fighting shape ever since. This included upgrading the weapons systems and, as of recently, the engines from various groups. The weapons systems were upgraded by the Corsairs and the engines from the Hessians. I realize your stance on the Corsairs might make this a problem, however this was done some time ago, long before Phoenix's undying hatred for their nation had begun in earnest. We had intended to reach out the Unioners for aid in reinforcing our hull-superstructure as the the upgraded weapons and engines are beginning to put places under stress, however none of their organization appears to be responding to our queries...and thus, here we are.
He closes his eyes and stretches out his arms to his side with a smile.
It was brought to my attention by one of my crew, who is a former Zoner himself, that your organization might be able to lend a hand. I am by no means asking for trade secrets or any technology that is only privy to the Zoners, rather a simple hull reinforcement for stresses related to combat and high speed acceleration due to the power of our new engines. If you are able to help in this regard, please do let us know. We can pay in credits or in work contracts as related to our nature as Freelancers. We are willing to provide compensation by either measure.
As for the requirements to visit Livadia, we acquiesce to all of your requirements.
He looks up to the camera once more before the transmission is terminated and replaced by the logo of a wolf before going black.

Och, let me set ye straight on one point: Phoenix bears nae hatred toward the Corsairs. Hate leads tae nothin’ but more sufferin’.
We’ve a disagreement—they want tae lock us into some miserable treaty, an’ we’ll have none o’ that. So, as it’s gotten more an’ more common, we Zoners are fed up wi’ bein’ trampled an’ have taken up arms.
That’s it.
Now, about yer upgrade needs, ye’re in luck—that’s right in my wheelhouse, an’ armor upgrade projects come an’ go regularly. I’ll need yer ship schematics an’ a notion o’ what ye plan on facin’. That’ll give us a ballpark on the cost.
Or, since ye say ye’ve a load o’ foreign tech aboard, I’d be willin’ tae waive the fee if ye let me have a good look at it—see how in blazes it all manages tae work together!

Jadyn frowns in confusion.
Forgive me, but I fail to see how investigating how the various technologies onboard the Black Harvest integrate together would help you to reinforce the superstructure of the Carrier. Aside from thrust mathematics and the stresses imposed on the hardpoints during active firing, there should be nothing further you need. I must stress that while the Black Harvestis mostly a simple Carrier, there are capabilities that the ship possesses that are sensitive in nature that I will not be showing to your techs. Only the areas which need reinforcement will be accessible. All other locations aboard the ship will be off-limits. This is non-negotiable. I hope you understand.
He places his hands behind his back and stands to his full height.
With all that out of the way, please let us know when we can moor at the shipyards. We are standing by just inside the cloud awaiting clearance.
He nods firmly towards the camera before the transmission is terminated and replaced by the logo of a wolf before going black.

Och, all right then, keep yer secrets. I was only to satisfy my curiosity as a wee alternative tae payment, mind ye.
I’ll base everything on the standard bustard exterior schematic—startin’ with standard armor plating an’ some basic ablative reinforcement. D’ye need anything fancy?
Oh, an’ Drydock 1, Section B is free now, so it should fit that big Bustard o’ yours nicely!
Jadyn now stands in front of a window facing the moored Black Harvest outside.
We have moored at Livadia. Standing by for a return communication upon completion of the work. Please let us know the cost and we will transfer it to your accounts.

Och, we’ve stripped down all the panels an’ armor components an’ replaced ’em with fresh ablative armor an’ hull panels. That should keep yer Bustard at least on par wi’ the rest. If ye want the old armor back, let us know—otherwise, we’ll study the damage for research, if that’s alright wi’ ye.
