Objectives and Faction Goals

The following database will contain a list displaying all tasks that are currently being undertaken or completed. These goals and tasks are to push our capabilities forward and help the Core stabilize as a whole. ARM has a lot of work ahead of itself, and none of it is going to come easily. Any current minor tasks, medium priority goals, and major objectives will be shown and described thoroughly to make best sense of what needs to be done (Note: Only the Admiralty of any rank can see/know of Major Objectives, and only Commanders and above see Medium Priority Goals). As goals are completed with good, dedicated progress, new ones will arise to replace them as time goes on.

Minor Tasks

Re-implementing Resource Harvesting Protocols

The Omicrons are full of untapped resources and a constant flow of unique items. All of which, are things we are running out quickly. With the loss of the Core high command Guildmaster, and silence from the APM director, it is now up to us to fend for ourselves. ARM primarily consists of random battlegroups of old veteran captains from the second fleet being zip-tied together, all trying their best to trust each other in head-to-head combat with many foes. Glory and success in combat is good for morale, but constant need of repairs and resupply comes at a cost. Without constant flow of resources, the system of ARM command structure will grow weak, and eventually collapse. Miner ships are few within ARM, and an experienced miners are even fewer. In order to complete this task, ARM will require to acquire a sizeable fleet of miners, experienced workers to fly them, and a good source of income harvested from multiple resources in order to be considered stabilized. Once the meter reaches one hundred percent, this task will be considered completed.

Setting up Logistics

Travelling in the frontier is one thing, shipping something is a whole other can of worms. Getting cargo from the colonies, or vice versa, is a complicated task that we are not quite suited for. AP and Manufacturing were once the independent branch of work horses that would get this job done, but without their support, a rag tag solution may be needed to fill the missing gap for the time being. ARM has many warships but keeping them alive is costly and becoming very difficult. Without a constant flow of supplies, ships may become stranded, stations may slowly fall apart, crew and officers may become starved and go rouge due to low morale and trust in high commands abilities. This must be prevented. If we are to survive freely in the Edge, we must adapt to it at any cost. We have few transports and not many pilots who can fly one without hitting the drydock at full speed. In order to complete this task, multiple transports must be acquired and given orders to ship goods around and prevent supplies running low. Haulers and convoys will be expected to supply stations like Durban and Dagger Outpost, while traders and investors find routes best suited to make the credits flow once again. Once the meter reaches one hundred percent, this task will be considered completed.

Re-establishing Order

With the fall of primary fleet command, Omicron Zeta, and the "Mars," chaos is on the rise. The harsh reality can't be ignored, but it can be at least confronted with small actions for the time being. ARM pilots and commanders are proud servitors of the Core, loyal to the end with no doubt in their mind. Any enemy or anti-agenda pursuer that is against the Core or ARM, should be dealt with in an impactful way. With this in mind, the old ways must be preserved and not easily forgotten or ignored. With law enforcement coming to a sudden halt, the entire Edge has exploded into crime, piracy, and smuggling. Few enforce the laws of Core which has allowed the area to fallen into decay. If they are actively enforced once again, order and stability may begin to swing back into play, and hopefully piracy, terrorist attacks, and smuggling will begin to fall. This is something that can never be truly completed, only time and time again enforced. This is our duty and reminder to ourselves that this must be done, and that sitting out is not an option. If we don't enforce the law, it will become meaningless, and that will only make the Omicrons even more dangerous.

Securing trade and logistics also comes into mind, without proper defense of supply lines, things will surely go south. With proper protection of convoys and miners, production of goods will become easier, and piracy less rampant. Our enemies also seek to disrupt internal and external trade, if any known disruptors are discovered, they are to be removed.

Medium Priority Goals

Propaganda

Faith and trust are hard things to come by in the Omicrons, let alone keep. With Core falling, and recent campaigns going haywire, there has been little incentive to join the forces of Core, ARM or not. We must raise the banner once again, and prove to the rest of Sirius that we are still the powerhouse that we always were. Media is a powerful force to be recognized, one that can both make and break anyone or anything. If titled at the right angle, anything can be made to look good with enough propaganda. Our good side must always show and be believed in. If we can convince a constant flow of adventurous folks and pioneers of the future to come to our doorstep, then we know are on the right track. This goal can never be truly achieved, as people will always choose to come and stay, come and leave, or not come at all. All we have to do is be convincing, ensure the local populace that we are their sworn protectors, and that everyone will benefit off the new frontier of the Edge. If the media swings our way once again, backing will only go up from there.

Instigate Dominance

Our enemies lurk in every corner of the Edge, and doing so freely. This does not bode well with our ways, any enemies snatching our resources can not be tolerated. Our percussors may have fallen, but this does not mean we have been defeated. If we can rebuild our fleets, win more battles, secure the Edge more tighly, we may become taken seriously once again as a superpower of the Omicrons. This will take time and not be easy, but every hand in taking part will make it that much faster. Continued work on goals, tasks, completing orders, establishing relations with our neighbors, and annihilating our enemies will be the way forward. Naturally we do not like having to rely on others, but in our current position we have no choice, and will continue to find alternate ways to survive. In order to achieve this goal, naturally reestablishing order and balance in the Omicrons will be our first mandate. If we can't do that, then little of our actions will mean anything and nothing productive will come out of them. If we instead succeed in that, then the second mandate of rebuilding our fleets, stations, and our recognition will follow. This goal won't be anything specific other than securing the following along with what was already mentioned:
  • Omicron Delta, Durban, Nauru, Battleship "Bellona"

  • Sigma-17, Prison Liner Fiji, Bora Bora

  • Omega-55, Dagger Outpost, Prison Liner Helsingborg

This goal will be a long road so it will take some time. With enough dedicated actions benefiting it, it may someday become a reality, and the true power of Core restored. Once the meter reaches one hundred percent, this task will be considered completed.

Reclaim Dabadoru

When the battle over Nauru control started, Core forces at the time were very confident. And very overextended. So heavily overextended in fact that our other enemies, the Order, managed to slip by without anyone noticing and took over Dabadoru with little resistance. This is a major thorn in our daily operation, and a major supply hub no longer in our hands, but rather the enemies. With our forces split throughout both the Edge, and Borderworlds, there are currently no possibilities to retake what is rightfully ours. However, if a chance happens to escalate the odds to being in our favor, then we will strike without mercy, and take back control of what should be ours. In order to achieve this goal, we will simply have to build our forces, strike when the opportunity arises, and reclaim Dabadoru. Once the meter reaches one hundred percent, this task will be considered completed.

Major Objectives

Destroy Artificial Intelligence Threat

AI, or "Gammu AI" have been around Omicron Kappa and other locations for some time now. At first we thought they were mostly inactive, a dead being with knowledge and researchable artifacts free for the taking. We were very wrong, and highly underestimated them when the tables turned against us. When the "Mars" went rogue, many lives were lost, and only then was the threat truly realized. If we act now, there may still be a chance to end their threat once and for all, but at a cost of losing the Mars. It is unlikely that it can be saved, destruction will likely be forced upon us when the opportunity comes at us leaving little other choice. Being forced to withdraw from the Mars campaign occupation of planet Gammu doesn't serve us well either. We will have to find an alternative route to end this threat. Our predecessors thought to enslave them, which obviously didn't work in the end. Our only choice may be brute force, and total annihilation of all AI out there, who pose a threat to the Core as a whole. In order to achieve this goal, an Edge world purge will take place, destroying Gammu AI wherever they may be found. Once the meter reaches one hundred percent, this task will be considered completed.

Total Annihilation Protocols

The Core has many enemies, enemies that won't surrender, that won't stop fighting. They specifically are the Corsairs, and the Order. Both groups have been two long weeds that need to die. This will take a very long time to achieve, but the frontier only has room for one of us, and only we are worthy of claiming that right. No inferior beings will be allowed to survive, even under our stressed conditions, weakening our enemy's strength will give us the chance to regain our own. If they are both wiped out from existence, then total control of the Omicrons will be ours. This will take a major war effort, clever planning, and tactical genius to ensure final victory against our foes. Truces may have come here and there during the past, and in modern times things won't be different. To have an endless war is something we can't wage on two fronts, especially with the Nomad and Gammu threat lurking in the void hidden from our sights. Being careful with what we do moving forward will be key, we are currently on the backfoot, and reckless actions will not win this war. But with our planning of key positioning our assets, sabotages of theirs, calculated tactics on the battlefield, clever diplomacy, and our pure superiority will see us through. Nothing has ever stopped the Core war machine, and this we vow as ARM, above all else. Once the meter reaches one hundred percent, this task will be considered completed.

Monopolization of Ancient Technology

Space is a far and vast area of existence, something we barely know and seen, never mind understand. That is why our R&D wishes those willing to find things of interest, artifacts to study, and most of all, technology to exploit and advance our own. With a technological superiority, and a better understanding of the space around us, we will have several advantages over our foes. This will be a very long and undertaking task that very few will be able to have granted permission to see or participate in. These files will be considered classified under admiralty supervision, and very select individuals working on this specific goal. This goal will also introduce new projects over time when ideas come along, as the ARM always wishes to find better solutions to problems that already exist. If something works, find something better, never be lazy and never let ignorance get in the way as it is a weakness that promotes vulnerability. To truly become a powerhouse, technology is key, as it can turn the tide of war within moments. As time goes on, technology has always changed, and this must be constantly countered with even better technology. With a high enough superiority in technology however, nothing can stop the ARM war machine as it tears through the very void itself.
