Visiting the Guild offices on Deshima was actually not a complete waste of time. I managed to get a hold of a recent image of Mavros.
Still looking just as smug and slimy as I remember him. Name's Paion Mavros, Cretan crime boss, big in the artifact trade. Picked up most of the remains of Pedro Bardiche's smuggling empire after that son of a bitch met a sudden and unfortunate end at the hands of yours truly. I couldn't figure out where exactly Mavros is lurking at the moment, so I'll leave flushing him out into the open to you. Like I said, he's a slippery bastard. He usually leaves doing the actual business to his henchmen and he spooks easily. So, whatever you do, don't make it too obvious. If he bolts, I might not get another chance to bring him down. But don't take too long, either. If he finishes up whatever he's in Kusari for, he'll head back to Crete and be out of my reach, too.
It was good hearing you over comms again the other day, even if you and your navy comrades managed to immediately disappoint me again. I guess six years aren't enough time for anything to change in that regard. Speaking of disappointments; you never did get back to me about Mavros. So he got away. No big deal, I'm sure I'll get a shot at him again eventually. I've only been trying for six years.
But I'm not reaching out to you to complain - at least not exclusively. I only recently got back to Liberty and I thought I'd ask around for some updates. And you being you, I figured you'd be a good place to start. So, what's new? I hear there's some trouble with Kusari and a trade embargo going on? And some rumors about Ontario? Liberty might not change, but it sure never gets boring.

I get tired of repeating basic things over and over, so I'm honestly just going to skip your entire first paragraph, since I'm such a disappointment. Off to a great start, honestly. Already have enough stress as it is, thanks. To answer the point where you're not berating me every other word, it's a resource conflict and as of late the Kusarians failed to prevent another Roppongi from happening. Our own intelligence knew of the attack and gave the Guild a heads up, and subsequently the attack was stopped. Kusari does less than we do in pursuit of terrorist activities, and the Guild asked us to investigate it instead, knowing the Naval Forces and State Police were useless in investigating the Alliance.
As for Ontario, right now I'm not at liberty to discuss it due to your own attitude towards me. For Mavros, the trail was cold before it even began. He was never in Kusari to begin with. Rumor says he's interested in something rare that's come out of Ontario and close agents of his are poking around Liberty. Finding it could lure him out, or maybe it won't. Who knows?
Me? Oh, now you ask after bashing me after a long, long time. Oh, absolutely wonderful, trying to keep the 5th Fleet organized in the face of budget cuts, retiring vessels too damaged to repair and maintain the same level of protection. All combined with my stress at home, but I doubt you'd care about that. Just doing wonderful. If I pull all the hair off my head it'd be more comfortable.

Alright, alright. I guess I owe you an apology. You know how I get when I see those genefreaks parading around like they own the entire sector. My attitude towards them definitely hasn't changed.
Now, why didn't you tell me about Mavros sooner? I spent the last half decade kicking myself for missing him in Kusari and now it turns out he was never even there. You really could've spared me some sleepless nights there, Prower. But alright. He's looking for something in Liberty now. Good thing I happen to be here. But what's this about Ontario? You can't tell me he's after something coming out of that shithole and then refuse to tell me what's going on there. And do you have any idea what it is he's after?
I'll be honest with you. I could really use your help this time. I don't want to miss another shot at that son of a bitch. I don't have anyone else I can trust in Liberty. Definitely no one with your particular set of skills.
And as for catching up - if we're both done spitting attitude at each other, how about we discuss things over a drink? My treat.
