I reckon it has been a while since the Inner Circle reached out to you and I would gladly assist any desires to catch up on each others latest - for both sides relevant - endeavors and news if you wish. For my part, I am quite frankly just interested in a simple business transaction with you, so we may as well drop any chit chat if you do not see it as necessary.
Spending the better half of the past year on Planet Denver trying to steer several operations at once can be tiresome, I tell you that. Though it comes with the advantage of meeting many new contacts and learning about matters the inattentive would simply miss. Among those was a peculiarly chatty Order agent, two bottles in and your man was having a far too loose tongue. A liability, a potentially serious one. A Project name slipped his mind whilst I took good care of him until he was sober once more: Project Discovery or Wiretap as he also called it.
Project names are thrilling to trace down, don't you agree? I came across a lot of nonsense and then seemingly credible information about an Order black project aimed at creating scanner suites of scales rivalling our own Spyglass developments. Quite the endeavor you pursue over there. Fascinating enough that I wonder if you were to part with one or two of these suites under the right conditions, if it indeed exists. The possibility to directly draw parallels between the Spyglass and your Project Discovery may hold the potential to revolutionize our - and your own - approach to facilitating the construction of these very modules. This is an opportunity I wouldn't want to miss out on.
So what do you consider these conditions should be?
I reckon little is well for the Overwatch then. Your silence is peculiar and worrisome, so I shall open this communique to the rest of the Order.
I do not happen to have the time at my hands to make certain you are well and alive myself, although I caught wind of a planned operation within Liberty.
So if not for the Overwatch overseeing it, some of you are doing just fine and might be able to please me with their attention.
Clearly, there has been a lapse in our operations security on Denver, and Section 8 will see to it that this error is rectified. I thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
However, I believe I speak for the greater Order when I say that we do not welcome outsiders prying into our internal operations. Were the Inner Circle not among the Order's oldest allies, one might even accuse it of espionage. As such, Section 8 will not share with you information regarding any alleged projects you may have heard of.
