That had to be unbelievably taxing, but it makes you the first in a luckless parade of rebels to directly deny House Liberty its desire in their own backyard, after five years of conquest. I'd tip my hat, if I had one.

Speaking of, I've got a little inquiry about just that, if you'd indulge me so soon. Circumstance has me needing to reach out to the PLF, but I've been long removed from the network in Penny. My intent's involving family, but I wouldn't mind taking the pulse of the most organized movement, either. You know if they're still in one piece, or who I can contact specifically? I'll be grateful.

The assessments that came across my desk paint a grim picture of failures and setbacks.

I can supply you with the frequencies I believe to be active as well as the names of the people I used as points of contact, if you'd like. But you struck me as the sort of person who wanted to steer clear of this and put light-years between this struggle and you.

That was quite a sharp jab -- but, I'm not a medical doctor. Sorry.
You're correct about steering clear, though. Partially because that's a lesson I've already been hit with the hard way.
But there's another one.
I looked for another way to carry on because we'd lost before we ever started fighting. It isn't set in stone, but the few leaders we had were stuck thinking of it as a purely military affair. One they could end with just one more flourish, instead of the long grinding resistance to the way of life the House is determined to drag us into.
That's something that has to be won by more than petty piracy, if we're to truly embody being those free people that you claim to respect.
Your assessments paint the grim picture flowing from that lack of imagination. If the PLF wears that mantle now, little's changed. Despite that, they're who I have to speak with, so I welcome your help. I don't expect the conversation'll be rekindling anyone's fire or better judgement, though.
For what little it's worth, you have my condolences for the people lost, and the gravity of their sacrifice. I'll keep the number fresh in mind.
